I'm already annoyed with all these transfer rumours. Being linked to all the right players but it seems such a large percentage of transfer gossip these days has no basis in reality.
That`s because it`s journo`s doing the linking. If they link all the top teams to all the big players and one or two actually happen they claim they broke the story.
Someone produced a table a couple of years ago showing how accurate different papers were with transfer rumours.The Grauniad came out on top with a succes rate of 30%
Summer transfer window is like a Pantomime with loads of gloss and spin and made up stories designed to get us all clicking and reading the stories. There's basically **** all football for Journos to talk about, so the transfer gossip machine goes into overdrive. Every season I tell myself I will ignore it and not get sucked in by the bullshit stories and every season I'm there waiting for the latest gossip to emerge and I can't get enough of it. The Journos know this and that's why they peddle it, it's like being a crack addict who needs his fix

I thought wed get a lot more for him, but i suppose maybe its a trade off so we dont gave to subsidise his wages until the end of his contract (i doubt many clubs would pay him 90k a week)
