Yep, outspent. Buying one player every now and then (when needed) for a record fee does not mean you have spent more than a club who buy many players each season for £7-£10mil each.
Yes and no. I mentioned Clyne and he said if anyone else is in for him, we won't get him. Apparently we're now a laughing stock with our transfer dealings and Ian Ayre doesn't have a ****ing clue what he's doing. From what I hear he has taken to Raheem Steling's line of thinking and told Liverpool to do one. He will probably join one of the more successful clubs I'd say and he does deserve his move I suppose. Joining Liverpool would make as much sense as joining Swansea City.
