dear oh dear... amazing.

different game back then but still bought keane for how much? record back then.. wanted shearer for the record and all.

outspent <laugh>

You didn't need to bother with the details. He had [HASHTAG]#failed[/HASHTAG] the moment he had to refer to 2 decades ago.

Oh i see, so if you spend money then thats how you win? Lets just rule out any manager who has ever won stuff. Daglish spent money, paisley spent money and so did Shankley.

Anyway, whatever, i'm just happy my club has the capacity to spend money and win trophies :emoticon-0178-rock:

huh..... so if someone spent 500k or 300k or 100k back in the day when they relied on crowds to fill the coffers means they bought success just like when chelsea spend a russian billionaires free loans... ok then.

Yep, outspent. Buying one player every now and then (when needed) for a record fee does not mean you have spent more than a club who buy many players each season for £7-£10mil each.

@Red Hadron Collider

when you spoke to this mate.

was he the same mate that deals with transfers

if so did you get any scoops.

Yes and no. I mentioned Clyne and he said if anyone else is in for him, we won't get him. Apparently we're now a laughing stock with our transfer dealings and Ian Ayre doesn't have a ****ing clue what he's doing. He said we used to be massively respected for the way we went about transfers. It was all somewhat underwhelming <yikes>

so what you are saying is ayre is not going and gordon is not involved?

As fr RHC.

so what this means is 2 home games are moved to away game.s the other side of this is 2 away games later in season become home games...

So?

my block of 4 shows LFC need 7 out of 12 points. IF we do our business in preseason and not blow around doing stupid tours and focus on being ready to go getting 2 wins out of 4 aint exaclty racket science.

See my post above <doh>

We're signing Clyne

<laugh> From what I hear he has taken to Raheem Steling's line of thinking and told Liverpool to do one. He will probably join one of the more successful clubs I'd say and he does deserve his move I suppose. Joining Liverpool would make as much sense as joining Swansea City.

This one's for the book marks I suppose.when he does move and prove Southampton are a selling club I doubt he deserves his move will be uttered

TBF Clyne doesn't have to leave to prove that Southampton are a selling club. So are Liverpool but facing reality has never been on the agenda for you scousers !
