You've got a serious problem Shteve, you're making little stories up in your head and you actually believe them.

Sad really and you should be pitied and not laughed at.

It's odd that someone should watch a game of football between two sides they don't support and then start prattling on about a player who plays for another side they don't support, a player who has retired from football! Each circumstance viewed in isolation is very normal. When viewed as a collective it's odd. Akin to a German watching a game between England and Peru before prattling on about how John Barnes was largely **** for England. That would also be odd.

All I can say is you have a very strange take on the word 'odd' <ok> None of what you say there could be described using that word. Your bringing it up and failing to let it go however ..................

He just cant see the irony and hypocrisy of his comments, he is on our board more than the utd board and comments about many LFC subjects on our threads.

But he goes off on one because of one post about a former man u player.<laugh>

You'd find it odd. You're sat in the pub next to Helmut, born and raised in a small village outside of Cologne but visiting his aunt Hilda who has lived in England since taking a job as a receptionist at a language school back in the early 1980's. England are playing Peru, it's a key game in qualifying for the inaugural International Cup of Champions which has superseded the World Cup after an 83 year old Blatter has won another term in office at FIFA. Hilda, who is your neighbour and occasional lover, has asked you to keep Helmut company while he's visiting so you agree to watch the game together in your local boozer, The Prattling Pillock. England win the game 1-0 thanks to a goal by their star player Raheem Sterling. You turn to Helmut and ask what he thought of the game. He starts foaming at the mouth and says "They played well, Sterling is a good player but John Barnes let his country down time and again when he was playing for England." You return Hilda's odd nephew to the comfort of her bosom.

Apart from anything else, there's relatively few international games so comparisons between who did what and when for their country, come up all the time.

Helmut wasn't really as outraged as I made out. He's never read the BBC Salford website or been driven to distraction by every article on it.
