I'd rather we went in for a player on the other wing at Birmingham: Damarai Gray - a great player. In fact, I'd like to see Bruce bring in some good quality younger players, some from a group of the best under-25's around. Whether we can afford them or not (after departures), is another matter... In the Championship those that fit the criteria, are: Damarai Gray Jake Bidwell Harlee Dean Moses Odubajo Andre Gray Jake Forster-Caskey Igor Vetokele Jordan Cousins Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson Cyrus Christie Will Hughes Johnny Russell Lasse Vigen Christensen Dan Burn Tyrone Mings Alex Mowatt Lewis Cook Britt Assombalonga Michail Antonio Danny Batth Rajiv van La Parra Nouha Dicko Benik Afobe There are also Premier League fringe players that are still young which, if making the step down a league, would be good additions: Nathaniel Chalobah Johnny Williams Barry Bannan Dwight Gayle Zeki Fryers Jack Hunt Tyias Browning Nick Powell Jesse Lingard Will Keane Shane Ferguson Sammy Ameobi Will Buckley Liam Bridcutt Marvin Emnes Jazz Richards Kyle Bartley
Daryl Murphy looked very strong in the air for ROI against Scotland today and combined well with Brady whose crosses and CKs were brilliant. Looks like Murphy might be just what we need to get on the end of Robbie and Elmo's crosses. He seems a much more physical player than he did a couple of years ago.
He'd be in the same position next season following relegation. If he does go, it will be to a team with better Premier League prospects.
Phelan should know this kid well enough. Sounds promising. Tom Thorpe. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...nited-unexpected-end-Old-Trafford-career.html
Whilst Chester is too good for Leicester and should be aiming for a West Ham/Newcastle/ Villa type team, Pearson and demand could sway it.
Like we can afford damarial gray, hughes, mings, mowatt, cook, antonio, assombalonga, afobe, dicko, gayle. We dont have prem lge money now
We don't, but it doesn't mean we will be bargain hunting. We spent (assuming my maths is correct and the undisclosed amounts are right) just over £6m in our promotion season and already had the makings of a good Championship side. We're probably going to sell our strikers which should net us a fair amount of money and if you add that to what we already have in terms of a transfer kitty, we should be spending a fair amount, especially if the Allams are serious about going back up again.
Considering Chester has repeatedly said he's happy to stay, and we don't want to sell, why would he leave?
