Dai when have you ever on Match day seen the car parks in the Morfa empty ? that's not to say that some are taken up by fans taking a chance and parking there but not many due to the officious parking wardens , how many fans use the local shops to buy food ,drink etc on match day , a lot , Star bucks , Morrisons, KFC etc do a roaring trade , I'd hazard a guess and say very few shops see a down turn in trade in fact the opposite, another point when was the last time you saw traffic cops in the area during match day ,you certainly don't see them around the Morfa area , they're only used for escorting the away fans coaches which is quick and very effective as afar a the Ynystawe slip road back onto the M4 .

Listen i have bought and sold many properties and when i sell them i first have to evict the tenant or if the person i sell to is going to use it the same then the occupier has to sign a new agreement with them. the agreement with me as long as i give them enough notice becomes null and void.....There is nothing you can tell me about property leasing or letting....
Dai that's complete crap, you can't evict people unless the AST has run its course, and you have given notice. And mate I've sold properties on with sitting tenants
Permission was only granted last year. If/when we buy the stadium we could begin construction the next day.
permission could have been granted 4 years ago.....the only reason they have come out in public is to entice the club to buy the liberty and take it off their hands...trust me i know the people involved....they are so desperate to get rid of the liberty........i wonder why....
What !! complete crap its obvious you dont have a clue how to run a business.....Before i let anyone into one of my houses/flats they have to sign a contract and i only give rolling 6 month lets. If i want to sell one of my properties for any reason then i don't put it on the market until it's close to the end of the tenants agreement....I let them know well in advance and i do all i can to find alternative accommodation when their lease is up. so you cant tell someone to suck eggs if you don't know how to do things right and proper in the first place.....short term let is the way to go.....
The council are desperate to sell the stadium because they are broke. Swans will end up buying the Liberty it's just a case of price and the Osprey situation that needs finalising. Then we will get our stadium expansion.
I think the Ospreys come as part of the package as the Liberty was built with community funding; City and County of Swansea money. Probably we'd have to maintain this 'purpose' and buy the stadium 'as is' with the community in mind and the Ospreys as part of its purpose.
True, the council are already being questioned about the EU funding so the last thing they will want is mess up on contract and have to give back the cash plus interest.
I know it would cheer you up, but seriously bob, what chance is there of any of this actually happening? Last report I can find on this dates all the way back to 2013. I would have thought that if any European Commission had any misgivings re any funding they would have dredged it all up by now don't you think? As you proudly wield the sword of anything anti-swans bob, tell us what is or was specifically questioned, what was asked for and what was delivered. Importantly, what is, was the outcome of the questions asked?
What I commented on had nothing to do with the Swans or sword wielding for that matter but is a consideration (or should be for the council), however it seems that if the Commission finds their rules have been broken then the club will be involved. For your information - January 2015 'Referring to the Liberty Stadium assessment, Mr Cardoso (European Commission) said it was "ongoing", but he did not want to be drawn on what might happen if Swansea City FC bought the ground from the council, as the club have mooted. BBC Wales has reported that if it was proved that the use of the Liberty Stadium broke European law, then the football and rugby clubs could face having to pay back money, plus interest. State aid rules, policed by the European Commission, limit how much public money can be given to private companies.' http://www.southwales-eveningpost.c...erty-Stadium/story-25953139-detail/story.html Which is a continuation of the January 2014 report which includes the following 'State aid rules, policed by the commission, limit how much public money can be given to private companies. Swansea council has been asked to give details over funding arrangements at the council-owned Liberty Stadium where Swansea City FC and the Ospreys rugby region to play.' 'A Swansea council spokesman said: "The European Commission has asked us a number of questions in relation to the Liberty Stadium and currently we are in dialogue with them, as are a large number of sports clubs from across Europe.' As there has been no official comment from 'European Commission' since January this year the investigation remained open. So spin that you self-righteous little sh++
Yet more reasons why we shouldn't be in the European Union. I voted to join the Common Market not for unelected civil servants in Brussels to meddle in everything else.
Not a chance as the vast objections will still be there...Get real if the council cant do anything then how do you expect the club too.......
As far as leases go it dont mean you have to stay where you are for the next 99 years or whatever. A lease is a form of protection for compensation if a road is planned to go straight through the property or it needs to come down for some reason and The occupiers can stay in the property for the length of the lease. It does not mean you are tied to the property as that is stupid and cant work.....My properties that some have long leases but i can sell tomorrow if i wanted too.....A lease don't. tie you down.
....and the Coprolite King fumbles yet another opportunity to display sentience. However I do thank you for the time taken to research and fabricate your numb reply and I love you for that I have to say though, I am so happy to see that I still have you wrapped around my little finger bob old chummy. Do carry on, you have my permission to continue entertaining me
