The Oaks is that kind of race anyway, Obriens never done winning it with bingers, you never know with lightly races fillies stepping up in trip who is going to improve, although to be fair the winner is hardly lightly raced. Take the winner out the race and I would have said it was a predictable result.

Well briefly fighting it out, obviously Legatissimo got well on top of that one, but my 50/1 loser was just the same as your 4/1 loser.
That's very annoying being mugged by a horse that's finished tailed off in both Guineas.
I don't buy that the step up in trip was the reason, she clearly wasn't fit in either Guineas.
I know people will say that's racing, but you can't help but feel cheated when a horse improves that much to mug the form horse on the line

When Emma was interviewing Aidan O’Brien before the Oaks, he never told her to “listen”. Unless my memory is failing me (not impossible), he only mentioned Diamondsandrubies and Together Forever.
The bookmakers must be sending for more satchels to get all their winnings to their Rolls Royces and Mercedes... the punters will be walking home.

She was outclassed, but good bit better than the rest which is what I expected of the race, Jack Naylor at 3rd favourite was absolute genius

Oh, I've done it all more than a few times before too chum, mainly because I'm a hundred years older than you! Godamn it, I didn't 'listen' to Aidan properly beforehand, he must have said something. Aidan O'Brien with a 50-1 classic winner. Did you listen to that owner after the race, the one with an English accent, he reckoned that they thought the horse had a chance, and gave a few 'details' as to why. Bloody hell, I don't know, what a game this can be! 
That scrimmaging probably cost someone a place I'd say.
Food for thought, what sort of a **** a thon would be going on now if Ryan Moore had ridden the winner but not a squeak for Colms ride.. Outstanding jockey, deserves some credit imo

Impossible race to evaluate as those on the inside lost all chance of providing form once wiped out, the third looked unbalanced at times despite running well, whilst the second favourite thought she was running in the dash tomorrow and may as well have not turned up.

It's fillies down to a tee. The 1000 Guineas is quite often the same. The colts are more reliable
If the Oaks had been any old race at any old track and I had fancied the favourite, I would have been put off by the way that she messed around going to post. The better horse on the day turned out to be the one that had no chance at all on her form and would have been 500/1 if it had been trained by anyone else.
For the Derby now, we should be looking at the videos of 300/1 Carbon Dating (last in the Epsom Derby Trial, remote third in Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial behind Success Days and last in Irish 2000 Guineas) and 50/1 Moheet (third in the Craven Stakes and down the field in the Newmarket 2000 Guineas)!
