    The english flat eh!
I've been told to back bribe the bouncer in the lucky last at ltown. My mate knows the owner and got a txt to back it.This nag has shocking form which put me off put I decided to put a small ew wager for the craic at 10s.Its into 8s now so any more dough down will be a positive sign but I have my doubts about this one!

I have resolved on many occasions to study closely the form of every horse in the race; not just the ones that appear to have the best chances. But I still ****ing don't

Make It Up 5/1 is my main bet today in the last, has to give race fitness and a stone+ to the bottom two and I dont think he is particularly well handicapped or anything special :D

But im hoping that on this track he has the tactical speed and class to win it, and ive always liked him as well.

Walk in the park for Novak so far against Murray. 10/11 was a hell of a price for a player in a total league of his own this year.

If the race was run in France the stewards would be doubtless giving you the spoils!

Aye but I still prefer our rules, winners romped in, common sense is the way forward.

Didn't see the oaks, but I'm not surprised qualify won the oaks. I did say the other day, it wouldn't be the first time a second or third string would win a classic. I know it's after timing, but I've been watching the Irish guineas for days and thinking she might come on for the step up, and she's a beautifully bred filly but was looking at the price and bottled it

Yep. See my Hindsight post. The form was there (if read fully) and the pedigree certainly was. Didn't even look at her with those numbers against her though.

    Squire alert !

Sweet Martini in the next at Goodwood - beaten 4 lengths getting 6lb when Squire was pressed properly by the runner up. This form should read well for a class 5 event with 8 runners and a price of 13-2.......... get on

    post race update

This was most interesting as the horse closed very well and looked like the winner two furlongs out when coming with a run but could not sustain it. It is of note that this race was an extra 2 furlong but should this be switched back to 10f of the Squire race I think it has a race in it soon.

Just rewatched the Listed contest won by the hat rick winning Radanpour of Dermot Weld and having won his previous 2 in a bog by a street he had to knuckle down and fight this one out and he reminded me of a certain horse the way he kept sticking to the task. My avatar should give it away! He's related to him also.

Won a free entry to the Irish Derby thanks to that win and hopefully we see him there.

We'll done anyone finding the winners on a difficult day. What can ya say about O'Brien...love him or loathe him he gets them to win when it matters. Hopefully my ante post on Gio Canaletto is successful tomorrow to add to his haul of classics. O'Brien that is.

I was on Legatissimo and I hold no ill feeling. Once the bet is done it's done. You have to be willing to accept the circumstances after losing. It's not O'Briens job to go and tell us what will win and what to back. It's his job to train the horses and have them ready to win if they are capable and Qualify was capable on the day.

O'Brien is the bane of my betting often..on his at 7/4 when he's a "good thing" only to tail off then win next time out unbacked at 10/1 and also when I have a Weld/Bolger fancy, O'Brien invariably wins at long odds unfancied. I don't hold much grudges especially when a man is doing a good job, win lose or draw. That's horse racing.
