I doubt it, he'd go into the development squad. Look what we did with Jahraldo-Martin, Jarrod Bowen, Johan ter Horst and Greg Luer; they're all older than him and only CJM has seen the first team.
Possibly. However if the lad is good enough.......... The fact that Swansea are after him shows the lad has potential.
Yes, potential, meaning he might be good in the future. We need players who are good right now, who can get us back out of the Championship again. The time for buying future prospects is when we're an established PL side.
Too be honest with our recent record on strikers who can score goals I would try the famous Taxi Driver if he said he could score goals. £400k plus significant add ons would be worth a pu t Imo.
Or just pay whatever Blackburn want for Rhodes, which will be expensive now but a mere drop in the ocean compared to the PL riches of the following season. A striker is the only thing that's going to cost us money this transfer window, provided we can keep the squad intact we can just loan in any cover we need. This is why I don't think you'll see any significant striker movement until just before the season starts, because we'll be waiting to see who becomes available.
If Agnew was not at Middlesbrough we may have a chance. As the Boro need to replace Bamford I expect Rhodes to go there if/when he leaves Blackburn.
It's hard to guess at how much we'll be spending, you'd expect us to have a bigger budget than them but then with the players we already have, we're probably going to be spending less. I'd like to think we'd be going for it, but as our FFP hasn't been great recently, I think we'll be disappointed.
More paper talk about Robertson leaving. Some say that a Villa offer of 6 mill would get him but others quote Bruce as saying that 12 mill would only buy his right leg and that he rates him as much as Southhampton got for Shaw and that 30 mill is what he values Robertson at in reference to Chelsea and Arsenal making inquiries about him.
I agree but 30 mill seems like a joke as well, that kind of talk seems to be hands off our player talk rather than the actual amount it would cost.
I've just seen what Bruce said about Robbo. What a fat ****ing clown. Criminally under used him even in games we had to win, then comes out and says he's one of the best young players in the country, destined for the very top and its inevitable that he'll go. Why didn't you ****ing play him a bit more then you fat bellend. He might have helped us survive.
Not a joke at all. Rate him higher than Shaw so why not get a similar price for him? Because he was still adapting to the league and made a few costly errors. Doesn't mean he won't be a star of the future.
Wouldn't mind that Nuihu at Sheffield Wednesday, scores goals and at 6ft 6 he'll at least stand a chance at winning a header if we persist with a 3-5-2.
Just more t red top paper nonsense for the gullible. Lol. Aston Villa don't have any money and the owner wants out. Even Tom Cleverley rejected them as he will sign for Everton.
