Too be honest with our recent record on strikers who can score goals I would try the famous Taxi Driver if he said he could score goals.

Or just pay whatever Blackburn want for Rhodes, which will be expensive now but a mere drop in the ocean compared to the PL riches of the following season. A striker is the only thing that's going to cost us money this transfer window, provided we can keep the squad intact we can just loan in any cover we need. This is why I don't think you'll see any significant striker movement until just before the season starts, because we'll be waiting to see who becomes available.

It's hard to guess at how much we'll be spending, you'd expect us to have a bigger budget than them but then with the players we already have, we're probably going to be spending less. I'd like to think we'd be going for it, but as our FFP hasn't been great recently, I think we'll be disappointed.
Thankfully we dont need that much. We have more than a great core of quality players here already.

Some say that a Villa offer of 6 mill would get him but others quote Bruce as saying that 12 mill would only buy his right leg and that he rates him as much as Southhampton got for Shaw and that 30 mill is what he values Robertson at in reference to Chelsea and Arsenal making inquiries about him.
6 Million for Robertson would be a joke - if we are to sell our assets we need to get top prices
I agree but 30 mill seems like a joke as well, that kind of talk seems to be hands off our player talk rather than the actual amount it would cost.

Not a joke at all. Rate him higher than Shaw so why not get a similar price for him?
