The glorious thing is we've gone from hiring late and being behind in preparation to bringing in someone who knows the team, knows what it needs and has already been working with Congerton on players. We're suddenly back on schedule in preparations. 
Well I'm one happy bunny at the moment. It is great to get the uncertainty out of the way, and hopefully we will all unite behind him and give him every chance in the world to succeed.
This, uncertainty out the way, we can now look to build our targets. Unsure if they will come with it being just 1 year
Beauty is Dick has been working on our targets with Congerton since safety was achieved. Our preparations are right on track.

Advocaat: The owner of the club, Ellis Short, continued to haunt me with a request to stay anyway.
Did anyone have any daft money on this? It all broke pretty suddenly so I'm sure there must have been people who got daft odds at about 100's.

I was on twitter as Dan King broke the story and have had sky bet open in a tab the whole time this has gone on. I was in perfect position to nick in.
Aye or Mrs Advocaat only wanted a fat retirement sum. Imagine the conversation:
"Tell them you don't want it. Wait till the odds are daft, then stick that £500k bonus Ellis gave you at the end of the season on, then tell him you'll go back".
