Blatter gone and changes can be made to ensure tournaments are selected from this moment on. But as for Russia and Qatar, well how much worse a crime have they committed then the nations of the previous 3 WC tournaments have? At the end of the day, they were playing the game like EVERYONE else. My feelings are fck it, let them go ahead and lets move forward.

Okay, but if you see Nozzers post above 1998 and SA FIFA were directly involved with a bribe to do with awarding the tournament - not UEFA.

    God knows.

FIFA: Warner To Reveal 'Avalanche' Of Evidence

A former FIFA vice president has said he will prove a link between world football's governing body and the 2010 Trinidad and Tobago national election.

Jack Warner, who made his remarks during a paid-for party political address, also claimed he has evidence linking embattled President Sepp Blatter to the scandal.

"I will no longer keep secrets for them who actively seek to destroy the country," he said.

During the address, Mr Warner, who is one of 14 people indicted on charges of racketeering, fraud and money laundering, said: "I reasonably actually fear for my life."

He added: "I apologise for not disclosing my knowledge of these events before."

So not just financial corruption, and Blatter up to his eyebrows in political skullduggery.

His new home in a US Federal Prison awaits.

Its like a game of poker between him and the US authorities dribs, the yanks upped the anti and Blazer went all in with his evidence and will be shown some leniency for giving it, Warner won't show his hand to the yanks until he gets a similar deal, so at the minute Warners playing blind with Blatter in the chair next to him about to lose all his betting chips.

I hope they hammer all of the bastards.

Cant believe they may be involved in propping up states - who do they think they are - the CIA?!

I must admit Americans telling other off for this sort of thing is very rich.

South African FA are holding out that they paid £M10... but not bribe. What Fifa did with the money is non of their business.
Telling me Stepp Blatter is not a gang star, because they believed they had not paid money to gang star. Laughable.:laugh::laugh:

Unfortunately the Russia World Cup will still have to go ahead, with only three years until its launch they can't change it. We could be in line for a really bad one, after its obvious that they bribed their way to get the tournament not to mention the problems they have within the country it could create a massive problem.

Qatar World Cup still has time to be changed and probably will.

  12. I wouldn't want the Russia world cup moved anyway. If they moved it and gave it us, there would be a backlash from the Russians and they'd probably look to sabotage the tournament. With us being the other applicant for that tournament it would probably be us that got it instead so we'd face that backlash head on.

The Qatar world cup has to be looked at and changed IMO.

Russia will definitely go ahead, because of both the time factor and also due to the political **** storm trying to shift it now would cause.

As for Qatar, I think the best course of action would be a re-vote, with all the nations who bid originally asked to re-submit. Only this time the delegates could select the best bid as opposed to the best bribe.

Qatar are already playing the 'it's racist' card, so that shows the measure of their desperation, they know that this is going to cost them a Kings ransom in lost bribes and money already spent on Stadia in the desert. ****ing brilliant <laugh>

russia is very easy. i agree... in reality any european country worth its salt can host a WC. england, france, spain, germany, italy... could turn it on in a couple months as all thats needed is there.

Qatar; the very best thing to do IMO is to produce a document showing how much was paid for it. after all thats what USA is looking for so if warner wants immunity this is the deal i reckon. turn in baltter on qatar and then let it collapse

I agree qatar did themselves zeor favors playing the race card when the whole world knows its all about the money.

yup we cannot forget that it was really the decision not to give to usa that started this whole thing.

the us guys paid a lot of bribes themselves and this is after all all for spite.

we can only hope the resolution is not just new crooks but someone changes it. but untl **** holes with 2 footballers and a mud pitch have thier vote removed from fifa the power resides with the corrupt... all they need is thier corrupt little firends voting their way to get kick backs.

  18. Fifa should be run by ex-footballers that are in no desperate need for money. All accounts and actions should be 100% transparent too.

This whole thing is so political.

The US will need to tread carefully with Russia as this essentially will play another part in the on-going tensions which are basically part of the Cold War.

We don't need it to escalate. We all know Russia is bent, but they hold a lot of cards.

I would be surprised if either tournament was cancelled.

It would be great if we could hold one here. If not at one of the other countries that got mugged off like Australia.
