You can't rely on one poster to do them. For example if it was Astro's responsibility then he'd not be available to do match threads after any defeats as he has to be out of the country until the next decent result.

Apparently if you call yourselves the invincibles, it automatically means you haven't lost even if you lose to Boro x2, Man Utd, Dynamo Kiev, Inter & Chelsea.

Couldn't agree more. Bunch of golden helmets!

The whole matchday thread thing works pretty well I think. Agree with Astro that it should be up there in good time, dunno about
minutes after the last ones finished though <laugh>

DEpeds on the result.

If a lose/draw against **** team then up right away so can concentrate on next.

If we win, let us milk that for a while <ok>

Depends whether he can get good internet access as he's leaving the stadium / on his way to the airport.

.........en route to one of the few places left on the planet without internet access.......otherwise known as his Ma's box room with the router turned off

Riuiight. So has any lfc fans got any actual thoughts here.

This seems all rather inane. A couple real comments but not many.

Who wants to run it. I have volunteered

I liked the detailed thought considered threads that Chris used to do. A little preview of form, with a little bit of added opinion through red specs. That's my personal preference, I know people used to get annoyed buy too much pics (mainly phone users), but I prefer the personal touches as opposed to...

Teams playing

Venue, kick-off

Pic.

But then again, as long as there's a thread it's not a big deal.

MITO I cant believe you just want one person doing them

Why?

How will thatattract new/nearly new users just looks daft imo

If youthink'Oh we're playingin a couple of days, no thread I'll do one" justleave it at that

Agreed with doc. Just someone do it as and when.

My personal view is I don't actually read the Op of most match threads as it's just info and not much to comment on.

I couldn't give a **** who does the thread or what is in the OP for them. All that matters is that there is a thread, the people commenting make it what it is, not the already known informational bollox in the OP.

The best OP match threads always have a piss take element of the opponents as well as some interesting factual information, that isn't the usual copied and pasted stuff from sources like the beeb.

Match day threads should always be up two days before the game, not before, not after. Any time before it's [HASHTAG]#toosoon[/HASHTAG] and any time after it's [HASHTAG]#toolate[/HASHTAG]. This gives enough time for a nice build up <ok>

The main thing is the mods do their job and make sure the thread titles are kept consistent

As an example of what not to do have a look at this (randomly chosen) board:
