I know mate. It would be brilliant if a low key Sturridge, Origi, Ibe, Coutinho combo could take the league by storm.

........... I'm allowed to dream aren't I? <laugh>
Whilst I don't think we'll win the league next year with them, as they are all still alittle young, its a group of very talented youngsters. Keep them all fit, especially Sturridge, who knows.
I think if we were to give them a defence and midfield that allows them to play and of course a star striker to carry the expectation, they could be a future quality group.

Breaking news.

Lfc swap sterling for benteke

After all villa have a world class manager and are in a final. .. thus can give sterling all his hearts desires

I don't actually know what it will take for us to win the league. Last season was a golden opportunity and we took everyone by surprise. I would like us to do that again and I think taking it by surprise or against all the odds will be the way we do it, eventually. Will that be next year with those players I mentioned, probably not. Add a world class striker and we may come close or closer but I can't see any world class strikers joining us. For all the money we've thrown at it we don't seem to invest in the right areas.

no don't...

that agent will be straight on the blower making out utd will get him out of spite.

he was the one who "learned" form the bbc fiasco and put out the sources stuff and he was the one talking to a hack and called carragehr names while everyone form barnes to Thompson to neville to henry have all had a say and joked about 900k..

Well no... he doesn't get to hawk anyone and try and make us look bad... the press will do that anyway. no ring up city direct and say club to club. state your intent now and lets do a deal if one can be done.

utd are out.

Cheslea are not serious really

Arsenal will try and bid 25mil... don't even ring the ****ers up until you have city lined up

Bayern... let shq

To win the league requires everything to be right and there's too much to do to even contemplate that for next 5 years minimum. 4th is a long way off imo

You probably said the same this season but actually it wasn't a long way off and could have been secured what, two games ago? Southampton, case in point of progressing by stealth.

And it only worked as they always qualified for the CL.

Not true.

If the arsenal owners were ever tested it would have been interesting to see if they would have sacked wenger for 5th

They built a big stadium and made a shed load off both the old ground apartments and huge ticket prices

Add a frugal spend by wenger and they ended up with wads of cash in the bank they are now busily spending

My prediction prior to the season starting was 5th.... Astro says he's the football genius though... I also get league cup right and said qf in fa cup

The blogs died with the old site though for some reason

Imo 5th is this year a circumstance caused by other teams also being poor as last year out points now would get 8th behind moyes sacked team

Top 4 is miles off.

Our front 4 are dross and we have only one attacker worth talking about our of what 8 players?

Can and coutinho are our only hopes

There is a huge job of work to be done and the list of dead wood is as long as it was post hodgson.

Jones
Alberto
Aspas
Lambert
Balotelli
Johnson
Toure
Enrique
Coates

Serious questions about
Allen
Lallana
Lovern
Markovic
Moreno

4 if which were signed last summer

Just to start the list.

We have this year secured coutinho, henderson, ibe on long deals and can arrived

There's a few to try and work with but there no squad of 18 there to go for 4th

The agent has badly advised his client and is approaching this entire debacle like a bull in a china shop.

He's damaging the lads reputation in the process, but the player is patently playing along, so he deserves zero sympathy though.

LFC cancelling the ongoing dialogue means that the players options are now limited, and he might be forced to hand in a transfer request and this will save any 'loyalty' (joke isn't it) payments being made to him by Liverpool as part of his sale.

Bottom line is, there's no way back now. He isn't Suarez, trying to go to Arsenal for £40m (+£1!), just get it done for the maximum amount of money, with him paying the agent's fee and no loyalty bonus. As Chris Sutton said, he wants to play for a 'Big club' (talking of which, when Sutton thought he was too big for Blackburn he was a wonderful success at Chelsea wasn't he?), and this level of ridicule will continue.

He's a decent player in a decent team with world class players like Suarez and a fit Sturridge. He's not the type you need in a battle though, and that's the difference with Suarez, Gerrard, etc. Can't believe Jose is interested though, as a although he'd be playing with class players like Hazard, Willian, Fabregas and so forth, how impressed will he be by a player who whinges about playing out of position and demands a mid-season summer-break in the Caribbean when 'tired'?

No way back now, but for ****'s sake get a plan in place for possible replacements this summer.

This is why I don't see Chelsea going all out to get him. He's just not a Mourinho player. He doesn't work hard enough, he gets tired and burnt out.
Mata was sold cause he doesn't offer enough defensively, neither does Sterling, and this season Chelsea have named an almost unchanged team all season (barring injuries), Hazard must have played almost every league game this season. JM has no time for tiredness, he doesn't even like to rest players when injured. With the league won they still played Costa despite an on going Hamstring problem, which they could have left him out for the last 3 games and given him those extra weeks to recover properly.

Its Citeh or abroad IMO, his agent would like him to go to Arsenal, London based club easier for London based agent, but can't see them competing with Citeh in a bidding war.

His odds to be at Liverpool at close of the transfer window are 2/1.

Will FSG be as brave to keep him if he doesn't extend his deal?

Most said the same before the 2013-14 season

In better news, Ibe has signed a 5 year deal.

Unfortunately, Flannagan has agreed a one year extension.

Why is everyone down about Flannagan, a cracking player and part of a good/settled defence last season.

I first watched him in the Goodison derby and was giddy to see him struggle, but boy he proved so many wrong that day

Mmm......not sure. Arsenal are reportedly quite stable financially,so maybe that could happen. Is there any truth in the 'I want back to London' rumour?
If so it's got to be Arsenal hasn't it? Citeh could certainly afford him,and wide right is a position they are surely looking at strengthening.
Maybe he's looking at Bale over there in Madrid and thinking yeah,I could do with some of that. Or maybe, all these clubs will be looking at how
Sterling and his ****ing agent are handling themselves right now and thinking 'You know what, lets look elsewhere'
