I agree, its top move.. you have no intentions of signing a new deal, then meeting is pointless.
We won't comment further, we should just left Sterling's agent, old Fog horn Leg horn continue to feed the media..
Take the high ground, say nothing more to the media but make Sterling fully aware of where everything stands.
1 - We don't want to sell you.. if we do a stupid bid would need to be lodged
2 - If you really want to leave, hand a transfer request in, otherwise shut up!

Agree with this. Call him into the office, make those two statements and tell him to get out the office. Don't let him say anything in response.

Liverpool CANCEL crunch meeting with Sterling after star's agent insists he will not sign a new deal - even for £900,000-a-week

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/index.html

Liverpool are cancelling a meeting with Raheem Sterling's advisors, scheduled for Friday, following his agent's extraordinary outburst.
In the London Evening Standard, Aidy Ward said Sterling would not sign a new contract even if Liverpool offered '£700, £800 or £900,000 per week', so on that basis Liverpool have decided there is no point holding talks.
Ward has pushed an aggressive agenda all week, with it being made clear from Monday night that the meeting which was arranged with Liverpool officials would end with him telling the club that Sterling wants to leave.

As Carra said, how is he daring to show his face around the place.

pretty sure he's not bending down for the soap i nthe showers today.

I'd hope not one single player has spoken to him.

I'd hope the last game he's not in squad. and i really really hope that the pics of the squad training don't have him in there.

Sterling's agent saying he won't sign for 900k a week, ROFL, if he was offered that hte agent's eyes would be watering and his embrace of Ayre warm and cosy <laugh> A total pretence of "caring for Raheem" first and foremost

You'd almost want them to offer it just to see how he would get out of it <laugh> The player's copped a huge amount of flak and I'm sure most of may well be justified but this Ward fellow is pulling his strings something chronic.

He is big time, whatever his % is, a 40m deal and his cut plus his cut from Sterling would be significant. It has Ward all over it just like Rooney's tantrum had his agent all over it. No doubt he's telling Sterling he's world class.

Ironically Sterling talks of trophies. His performances have helped guarantee us no CL football and no FA Cup. So, by that logic he wants to what? go to another club where other players will earn him trophies? Thats pretty much what he is saying given his season's contribution which includes missing an empty goal from 4 yards

The agent has badly advised his client and is approaching this entire debacle like a bull in a china shop.

He's damaging the lads reputation in the process, but the player is patently playing along, so he deserves zero sympathy though.

LFC cancelling the ongoing dialogue means that the players options are now limited, and he might be forced to hand in a transfer request and this will save any 'loyalty' (joke isn't it) payments being made to him by Liverpool as part of his sale.

In better news, Ibe has signed a 5 year deal.

Unfortunately, Flannagan has agreed a one year extension.

As an LFC fan seeing the club throw a bone to flanagan is good. he's only had the one period in the side but as he has been injured the club have at least back him to try and prove his fitness

If ibe has indeed signed up i'd be right now while blowing the ink dry saying... delete the other ****ers phone number, don't be seen with him, don't talk to him, he's nothing to you now.

Good. No point entertaining him with talks when he couldn't give two ****s about the club.

Tell him him to hand in a transfer request and tell the agent that if a club offer 40m for him they have the clubs blessing.

Agent can can then go whore his player out to city and so on wth a figure in mind.

get him and his scrawny agent out of the club as soon as possible please <ok>
