Dutch discipline. Advocaat is clearly an astute and very capable manager.

I'm all ready to propose a rule change that hasn't been talked about yet. It makes a mockery of the great game when a far inferior team can park the bus and get the same number of points as the superior team. Only team numbers 2 to 6 of the defensive team are allowed in the penalty box?

The one likeable Dick in Sunderland does it. Great stuff.

Tremendous organised performance from Sunderland tonight. Arsenal didn't really threaten. Credit to Advocaat, as I didn't think anyone would keep them up.

Wasn't it good to see how much it meant to him too?

Takes a good team, no a great team, to break that defence down... EIGHT times.

Tremendous defensive performance by Sunderland to stay up. Well done to them. If they had a striker other than Fletcher up front they may well have won the game, they had a few very good chances to score !

And if they didn't have that invisible keeper on the line blocking everything they'd have been hammered. :) they deserved that point though.

Between Fletcher, Graham and Altidore im amazed they managed to stay up...I think the three of them have 3 goals between them this season.

Fairly uninspiring end to the season for Arsenal - eyes on the Cup Final maybe?

Did you watch the game or just see the score? It was a great game and Arsenal went for it. They either over played it or Lady Luck chose Sunderland.

To say they were uninspiring is harsh; looked to me like they wanted to win the game a lot. They went for it so much that at times they left themselves short at the back and Sunderland nearly nicked it.

Over played everything, & when you take the Swansea game into consideration, I'd say there's a few uninspired Goons out there this morning.

That's not what was said though. He said uninspiring performance. Do you not think they played well and created lots of chances?

If someone wants to see uninspiring performance, re-watch us away to the foxes :(

I found myself just rolling my eyes after each attack, they didn't just try to walk it in each time, they just couldn't figure out what else to do.
    The forever also-rans.

And on a side note, don't mention that game, I'm having a very pleasant week! <laugh>

Fair enough. I watched a second half where Sunderland's keeper made save after save and their defenders made lots of last ditch blocks. I thought Arsenal played well, whether they were trying to walk it in or not and found it exciting. Different opinions.

Pleased for Sunderland...though the last day of the season will surely be the most boring ever. Top 4 decided....next 3 just moving the deckchairs around (as all 3 will probably be in the Europa)....just one relegation place to be decided. Will be hairy for Newcastle and Hull and interesting for us, but that's it

Nominees for Manager of Season are Koeman, Wenger, Mourinho, Pearson and Monk.

Not sure Wenger deserves to be there, can't argue with the others though, I still think Mark Hughes is doing a great job at Stoke, just quietly getting on with it improving the team, expect them to improve again next year.

Koeman to win it after leading us to the top 6!!
