I think it might not cost that much to get him. Mainz supposedly had a 9m buyout when they had him on loan, and I don't know that Djuricic has raised his value since the start of the season.

Although 9m is still too rich for my blood. If we could bring him in at 5-6m I would do that.

It'd be a bit of a risk, but the talent is undoubtedly there. That he has scarcely had a sniff of the starting lineup suggests that we're unlikely to shell out that much for his services, however.

Sounds like Benfica are not exactly keen on him. So it could be like our situation with Gaston and they may well accept a deal to cut their losses.

If it's possible I would look to try and loan him back in again next season.

If we have a deal in place and we want Djuricic, that is what we will pay. Can't renege on it...would damage our reputation when making similar agreements with other clubs. If we rate him...is 9 million a lot....doesn't sound it to me.
 
Agree that £25m as a starting price is about right for one of (if not the best) our best players, long contract and plays in a position where there are very few players of this standard.
If these two clubs don't want to pay this much it just goes to show Morgan that they don't value him like Saints do
 
He is worth easily 25mil in today's climate. I wouldn't even begin discussions unless at least 25 is offered.

Exactly this, that is the bare minimum, Cabaye went for same didn't he? And Morgans better than what he ix and a new tv deal has come in since. £30m prefferably.
