Hull City would be big players if we joined up with the Jocks and became part of their football leagues, does Hull have much in common with the South these days anyway? Hull could benefit too, become a major city in a new country rather than somewhere sneered at by the majority of people in the South who have no idea where it is or have never visited the city

Rule by the South or rule by the North? It's easy to look at things and say 'get ****ed' or whatever but are we really in touch with the South? It might not even be called Scotland as such

First thing you have to do is define "North" and "South", which is impossible to do without pissing off an awful lot of English people.

End of story.

The country is split as it is, the trouble is there could never be an independent North, we would have to join with the Scots. I don't think the South has much in common with us

I've lived in Scotland. They ****ing hate us. Which is fine because I ****ing hate them too.

No idea why you think they'd treat us better than anywhere in England. You can add "contempt and hatred" to the sneering you think Hull currently gets if that stupid idea ever came to pass.

We should be digging a ****ing trench and kicking them further north.

Must be a ****ing quiet day on Tyneside.

Au contraire.

Was in a restaurant last night in Jesmond and nearly came to blows with a drunken stag group who were being a set of utterly inconsiderate ****s. Did get 10% off the bill however.

This morning walked the hound round the back of Newcastle racecourse. Sounded like party central. Normally see a couple of deer. They'd ****ed off.

I'm now listening to the wife wittering on the phone to her sister.

I'm totally up for becoming part of Scotland.

It's always quiet in Scotland.

There's **** all there.

Silence is golden.

But Newcastle would end up in Scotland too. So it would be the same. Except with more geordies.
