Woooooooow

I thought the [HASHTAG]#bitters[/HASHTAG] and rivals on here yesterday were being especially moronic over Gerrard's last home game

But leave it to Phil McCunty to take [HASHTAG]#meltdown[/HASHTAG] to a whole new level

This is so ****ing stupid I cannot believe it actually got published

Steven Gerrard: Liverpool get taste of life without iconic captain

Apparently despite carrying Gerrard for the full length of the game, it's supposed to show us what things will be like without him.

The fact this game means nothing is irrelevant.

The fact our win percentage is now massively higher without him is irrelevant. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...erpool-better-off-without-Steven-Gerrard.html

He then goes on to whinge about every other Liverpool player he can. Apparently we signed Lovren to replace Gerrard. His entire analysis of Henderson's very successful time as captain consists of SEVEN WORDS "It does not look a natural fit" and then he's back to whinging.

And all of this comes after yesterday, when all [HASHTAG]#bbcsalford[/HASHTAG] could do, in between snarky jokes about how much media attention Gerrard was getting, is point out (once we had gone behind) that making the day about Gerrard is what was costing us:

"Liverpool tried to get Steven Gerrard on line with a couple of passes in and around the area, but Palace have closed ranks and defended well in numbers to snuff it out."

"When you make the game all about one man, you will lose a game of football."

"Adam Lallana, another expensive Liverpool signing who has endured a season of frustration, took that goal very well and captured the mood of the occasion by turning and running straight to Steven Gerrard."

I've never read so much utter drivel and I say that with my [HASHTAG]#unbiasedaspossible[/HASHTAG] cap on. It's a ****ing ridiculous piece of hysteria with some truly epically wayward and stupid, moronic comments such as 'as the bond he has forged with the club's support over 17 years prepares to be severed by his move to Major League Soccer with LA Galaxy.' Yeah Phil. Cos all LFC fans ****ing hate him now for moving to LA and will completely forget he existed. Utter ****.

Reading the full thing again I don't how this guy and the editors involved with the article actually made it past primary school English classes, it's sub-GCSE standard

Massive group **** session been going on over there over the last 24 hours or so

I'm hearing you can't walk anywhere without getting tissue and cut out masks of Van Gaal and Ashley Young stuck to the soles of your shoes

In sharp contrast to their reporting of our club awards night, no mention of Couthinho's awards or Saint & Rowdy's lifetime awards or the many positives from the night, they plastered the Sterling getting stick story on their front page instead.
More reason to sell the little ****er this summer.<grr>

So they've got the news of our failed Clyne bid on the sport sub-section of the home page, twice on the full sport section front page and once in today's transfer rumours section

Even the most humourless Liverpool fan must find it mildly amusing that Liverpool's first dip into the transfer market this summer is for a Southampton player!

We go again.

Southampton or as I call them liverpool reserves are a decent outfit.

Much better then man Utd reserves (everton)

All the more reason to promote some youth like Clyne to the first team eh? <diva>

You do realise that by the end of next season, Liverpool could be known as Southamptons "B" team

I don't <ok>

average english RB, slightly better than Walker but not by much.

Yeh I was just throwing it out there. I don't either but all I see is ppl raving about him so I thought maybe I've missed something. We're linked with him as well but would I want him as our RB for next 5 yrs+...not really tbh.

I think we're all getting confused because we've been used to Johnson and you've been used to Valencia... we think that's the level of full back neede at a top club and because Clyne s better he must be awesome...

What everyone is forgetting, is that both of the above are pants and Clyne may be better, but it's like being the tallest dwarf, means **** all <ok>
