Any punk fans out there seeing Strung-Out when they come to UK in a few months? I'm seeing them at a small pub in Brighton, my heroes of the past reduced from selling out arenas to playing small pubs... Good for me though

Not heard of them Clem, what type of Punk are they, hardcore or old school?...I'm into anything that is influenced by The Clash..

Can we ban Clarkson/ May /Hammond talk? :emoticon-0100-smile

Actually, I'm not for banning anything. Everything should be up for discussion IMO.
Mods want politics banned. Thatcher is politics....

Like you I don't mind 99% of stuff being talked about.

Shall we compile a list of things we don't want to talk about on here? The problem will be that as soon we add anything people will argue about it. Personally I'd be happy if we confined Koeman's to music, cricket, GoT, and non-Clarkson motor sport, but it's your forum.

I dislike cricket, American football,Eurovision song contest amongst other things but I choose not to join in on these topics.......but I wouldn't want them banned because others like discussing them in here.

Personally Chilco, I don't think we should be looking to reduce the number of subjects open to discussion but encourage more areas of interest. If people aren't interested in something they can opt out, let's not get too much into censorship.

You wouldn't get on too well with Lapras then....what are your thoughts on Bronies and women's football?...:emoticon-0102-bigsm

The wife has just informed/warned me that the Eurovision thingy is on soon and I remember PL last year all excited and hyper.......so pub it is then and far far away from Koemans for me.<ale>

Good on you Tom

I've heard from my friend whose daughter is out there, that the authorities were asking rescue people to leave (before the last quake, obviously) because they couldn't cope with managing them (no water, little food, etc ......)
I don't know what is happening now - but, I agree, good on anyone willing to go out and help. Hope it works for you, Tom!!

I always thought the only topic banned was Politics. There seems to be some confusion on whether it is or isn't. I was told it was banned by the site owners. It is the only subject that I don't like people discussing. My reason for this is that I firmly believe that politics is divisive in a way no other topic is, not even football. It is one of those topics that people start to form lines over (if you don't believe me, then read the last two pages and look at the number of 'likes' on the political posts that are derogative of either a political figure, party or policy). I find it deplorable and I find most peoples' views so blinkered and bitter, whichever way they go. People will simply not budge or even consider another political party is anything other than despairing if it is not their party. They never look at some of the good stuff in amongst some of the bad stuff. The "this country will go down the pan if party X get in" are so extreme in their view, it is laughable. People who normally seem level headed and open minded suddenly become closed minded.

People moan about what happened under one party in the 70's and another party in the 80's and talk with absolute vitriol and hatred, as if anyone associated with the things they didn't like from generations ago, are equally as bad. If they spoke like that about the modern Germans because of the war, other people would come down on them like a ton of bricks for being racist.

I don't know what it is, but politics seems to do this everywhere. People behave differently whenever it is around.
