That's a relief. In a game as good looking as that, a ****ty dragon would be a bit incongruous.

Being climbing season not surprisingly about half the Army were in Nepal, a few friends were out there at the time. As selfless types they got on with digging holes, building shelters and anything else that the Army does, they just forgot to tell everyone at home they were ok for a few days. It's a good job they didn't die or their girlfriends and mums would have killed them.

Hizdahr zo Loraq is a lucky man. From being in a cell expecting death to king in 10 seconds. Hopefully Stannis massacres those Bolton bastards.

Edited a Spoiler alert for you.

Still haven't bothered to give it another chance. I will. I hope I get hooked because there are a lot of episodes.

EDIT: I should say that I'm currently watching an amusing US comedy [rare for me] called Schitt$ Creek.

Not bad. No guffaws, but definite smiling, the odd chuckle and ho-ho..! :)

Turns out the US comedy is Canadian. I was beginning to wonder why the humour was working.

I would have thought there would have been plenty of work for you with those skills at Pompey.

Oh come on Tom. He's acting like the kid who does nothing wrong. Did he really think that Strauss would allow him back in.
KP is a brilliant batsman but infortunately his ego has let him behave in a totally unacceptable manner.

I am not saying that people on the England side have been blameless, but to use expressions like "I don't blame him" when all of this is because of his inability to keep his gob shut and behave in a way other than he is the only person that matters, is wrong.

Of course you want him playing in the team, he's the best batsman, but you can't "not blame him". Don't just look at the last 5% of what's gone on.

Dominic Cork got it right yesterday. KP has been led up the garden path badly and this last episode is wrong, however if put in the same position with what has gone on, Cork would do the same thing.

KP is just playing the media and public. I don't buy the little boy lost routine. He made his bed, so he has to lie in it. The England camp are playing their part, I agree, but KP has made his bed.

Simple rule in life, treat people how you would want to be treated in life. He should have thought about that over the last 5 years.

The show really is drifting far a field of the books but i kinda like it. First time in 5 years i honestly have no idea what happens next in parts of it

I agree about Stannis ending Bolton rule although i have to admit a liking of Rooses portrayal. Just like Charles Dance with Tywin the actor has done an amazing job of turning Roose into an intriguing personality rather than cartoony villain.

Surely its simple, KP is the best batsman we've got so you play him, if it was football you would build your team around him. As for Strauss saying he has trust issues does he not realize that the English cricket fans have serious trust issues with the ecb.

The England cricket team as it stands is only going to get worse, so we either live with being crap for the next 5 or 6 years or we build a team around KP and the younger players and head in a different direction. We all know what the English way is though so just like our football team its carry on as normal regardless of how **** we are.

Missed my point Kitch. I am not talking about the cricket team. I was questioning how Tom can't blame KP for how he feels, when he has been the catalyst for it all.

There is no doubt that he is the best cricketer, but it makes me choke that he now comes out as the hard done by one. He is not hard done by, he is reaping what he sowed. The sad thing is, as you hinted at, it is the fans that miss out.

If it was football, they'd have done the same thing. They always have! (watch football mavericks)

KP was given hope he would play for England again. He gave up an IPL contract, he played county cricket and scored a load of runs. Obviously there were no guarantees but to be told there is no chance of selection after what he was told by Graves is bang out of order.
