Here's the latest blurb on Pep from Deutsche Welle, nothing new really. Dunno about you, but I do feel it strange to hear a Yank talking about our game, just as it's weird hearing one of us expound on American (or Canadian) football. Very odd, but it's the international world of cyber (I am too old to know what the **** that is ), as I am often reminded by one or two fellow forum members. http://www.dw.de/rumors-hound-guardiola-ahead-of-bayern-barcelona/av-18445013 Erm, even stranger, much stranger, is to hear a Yank talking about Cricket. I, in the end, refused to discuss the subject with my former American colleagues, due to impending insanity on my part...
Mr Guardiola rumoured to be taking up coaching position with the New England Patriots after current contract with FC Bayern Munchen expires in 2016. There will be no 'deflation' in Massachusetts when I take over states the Catalan!
Counter rumour; Mr Guardiola considering offer to become head coach at ECB. It is believed that Mr Guardiola has stated that, as a proud Catalan, he will only select Englishmen for England and he will not stand for that John Barnes, Mario Klose, Diego Costa nonsence! It has now been reported that there was no truth in the rumour!
You got me there; thought you were talking about another piece of jiggerypokery (?) by New England's finest. I now understand your 'words' and am fevered to hear your response!
Well the moment is nearly upon us my friends, it's time for the faithful to stand up and be counted. Those non believers among us may now leave the war tent, for we of the strong heart are about to stiffen our resolve and gird our loins in preparation for the upcoming battle. The Great Pep of the Guardiola has fired up the troops and is about to lead us out of this God forsaken wilderness into the verdant valley of the promised land. In Pep we trust....long live the Great Guardiola.
Certainly looks that way Kenny, but it's not over yet. I think I read somewhere that the Spaniards had failed in their last four trips into that part of the world. Bang, bang, bang. Gunna rip them in.
Sir, your optimism does you credit however I would reference Generals von Manstein and Model on the eve of the Battle of Kursk!
Difficult to fight a war on two fronts. From what I've just read, as a tactician, Manstein was held in high regard by both sides. He in whom we trust has his work cut out tonight, but like Manstein, he won't go down without a fight. Well it's off to bed for me, I suppose the "hot" line from the front will awaken me to the news that our Kursk has been lost. If only Monty was still here, or that scourge of the desert, Erwin Rommel.
Bayern gave it all they had, but the deficit was too much to overcome. Very good effort, for sure. To lose 5-3 over two legs to Barcelona is no disgrace.
So proud; could have scored the goals needed with a poorer goalkeeper! No wild 'benders' this year so I have saved plenty. 2013 - Champions League win cost me about £1500 2014 - World Cup win cost me about £1000 Anyway, Koln here I come on 19 July!!!
What a wonderful effort by the lads, nice to see them take it to the bad guys. Well now it's down to those valiant Juventus dudes. Time to show the Ancelotti lads the door. Let's hear it for Pogba. Pogba Pogba He's all class, He's the man To give 'em the arse.
Just had a look at the prices for tonight's match, and was amazed to see Madrid at 4/6. Surely that is the best 4/6 shot you'll ever see. 4/5 for Madrid to qualify looks pretty good to me aswell. Juventus really aren't that strong a team at all, they didn't even win their group, and have got through to the semi's via a favourable draw. Their best player is a Man City reject ffs! I think Madrid will thrash them tonight
