I'm not against Montoya.. Just a high price for someone with limited experience in the first team. If it means the end of glen johnsons Liverpool career then sounds good to me though
I've no idea We will know it's real when something real occurs My opinion is until barca finish their season this is bs
Can you imagine Pirlo in the Prem, he'd get murdered. Not only would the pace of the English game be too high for him, but Clubs like Stoke would use a Charlie Adam to kick the **** out of him, not to mention teams that close down really quickly like Palace. The only time he'd be any good would be when a team sits back and lets him (and the team he's in) have the ball and there is only West Brom willing to play like that at the moment. At 37 there is only Serie A out of the top European leagues he'd still be effective in, other than that its a step down to the US or Oz.
Pep Guardiola 'agrees' to coach Man City next season - reports Bayern Munich coach has reportedly agreed to replace Manuel Pellegrini as Manchester City manager for 2015-16. 13618 Shares Manchester City next season. The Qatari-owened global sports channel beIN Sports' Arabic account tweeted on Saturday: "Urgent - sources beIN SPORTS: Manchester City reached a tentative agreement with Bayern Munich coach Guardiola to train the team for next season." While it is no secret City chiefs Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain are desperate for Guardiola to coach The Blues, the Catalan is contracted to Bayern Munich until next year. However, Guardiola's position at Bayern has weakened following the midweek Champions League semi-final drubbing they suffered at Barcelona. Bayern were also eliminated from the German Cup semi-finals in a penalty shootout defeat to Borussia Dortmund last week. City boss Manuel Pellegrini has been roundly criticised in recent months over the deposed champions' European form and their unsuccessful defence of their Premier League title. Liverpool are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 25. Liverpool want Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen and are prepared to pay £6m for him. The 19-year-old, who can play in the middle or at right-back, has only started two cup games for Jose Mourinho's side. Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel, 30, says he wants to stay at the club despite failing to agree a new contract. German side Wolfsburg and Italian Serie A pair Napoli and Inter Milan are interested in signing him.
Pirlo is world class - not sure I would agree that if you put someone on him, he'll struggle because if that was the case, then every team would have done it and he'd be extinct by now. His intelligence and movement for that role is superb and he plays the game 3 steps ahead of most hence why he doesn't get marked out of the game. However, he does needs 2 top class CM's in front of him. At the moment, he has Pogba and Vidal. He'd struggle at LFC but not because of the pace of the league but because of the lack of quality support around him. Sell Skrtel - £10m is good for a defender who hasn't achieved much and knocking on 30. Keep him any longer, we won't make anything back on him - we could have sold him to City for £20m. Same applied to Reina and Agger - these players were past their best and we eventually lost them for nothing. Pierre Emerick is a good player who would suit our system - would definitely take him.
