Both icardi and lacazette cannot be headed to Chelsea one would hope Dybala is supposed much sought after
WTF you chewing on? Jimmy's comment was "We failed to sign quality strikers last year. How will we sign quality now ..." and I just pointed out that we'd done it before. Dribbles decided to be his usual self
I'm laughing at the thought we took Suarez from nowhere We took a risk on a basket case who was suspended 3 times for us fir long times and in between he did enough on his own to make himself a 75mil player To apply that logic to a new player us deeply flawed
True, but I was talking purely about the fact that we've managed to persuade top class players to join previously despite not having CL football, nor did we have the best squad or manager of the time either.
Rodgers has denied lfc we're ever interested in depay So I hope that pleased everyone Those who hate Rodgers and committe can call thin incompetent for not being interested Those who hate Utd can call the player muck and the agent a liar Those who love Rodgers can say he's not been turned down again Those who need their egos soothed can say lfc are a big club cos we were not turned down yet again There's something in it for everyone
We have signed some quality players over the years - but last year, we had CL and Rodgers targeted Soton dross. My fear is have we learnt our lesson? ..
I expected it in feburary. once we bought nohting in january and rodgers flagged it in december they effectively decided the season was going to be where it was... FSG shuld have sacked then and moved on so now its too late for the summer window to change anyone
Here is my take Jimmy. We previously tried hard to buy Mkhi, Costa and Willian without CL. In all instances our bids were accepted but the players chose elsewhere. Then came the Suarez kitty but again we were turned down by Sanchez and we could have persisted on trying to buy these marquee players but all the evidence suggested they would end up elsewhere. So the alternative was to shop in the domestic market. The only hindrance is Southampton knew we were minted and desperate to boost squad numbers. I am willing to bet if we hadn't sold Suarez the cost of Lovern and Lallana would have been lower. That said, it seems the only way is to let the bigger boys have their turn and shop afterwards otherwise we will have a situation where our bid for Lacazette is accepted only for Chelsea to buy him for no apparent reason.
Look it really is as simple as this; Chelsea have a **** tonne of players out on loan and will hoover up anything they can if they think there's a profit in it especially to deny us the player or any other rival club They cannot do this with Utd targets or city targets as they cost 100k to 200k in wages so they can't sell on to small clubs like Everton So we have to do one of two things either buy very young and risk it or buy people nobody else wants Last summer we bought balotellI rather than lacazette..... the dogs in the street knew what would occur with that We flirted with bony but we're put off by price, city have so far bummed out on him The thing it its not fm2015 in the real world agents and players have their own agendas and we can turn in on any player make a real offer and they can still use it to see if they can get better Nobody needs to sign that day, clubs all try to see if they can sell for more and so the endless leaks and rumours abound I really don't know who is on lfc shopping list or even if there is one
