Now listen, I’m about to open my heart to you here, give you a reason to call me names, tell me I’m a plastic fan, disown me but I’m hoping I receive your compassion, understanding and maybe some man love.

My problem is these freindlies, I keep looking at the SAFC site and ticket details but just cant get excited. I am 20mins from Hartlepool and tickets are £10.00 but cant be arsed.

I’m excited about our signings and cant wait for the Liverpool game on the radio then the derby in the flesh, its the friendlies.

I always go to the Scotland games but this year, not bothered.

Is it age or have I caught something, will medication help?

Is it 3 days without a signing, have I been spoilt?

MY NAME IS SYD AND I AM A FRIENDLY MATCH NO GO.

Nothing to do with age, Syd. You and I are both the same age. You just don't need the friendlies, lucky you. I do. I'll be at Mönchengladbach the weekend after next as it slots nicely into the family's summer holidays. Then I'll be at a home match at Christmas or Easter.
So, the friendlies are for us expats, you enjoy the real matches.
Mind you, of course, very soon our matches in Europe will be real ones, won't they?

I'm off to York on wed and I'm looking forward to it. It will be interesting to see if any of the new players get a run out and it's easier watching a game with nothing riding on it.

Think I'll end up at Pools too.

Chats I am doing the Armenia Beilefeld this coming sunday, meeting up with Smithy , would have loved the Gladbach game, was stationed close by, in 1975,
but will be in UK for that week end, birthday and wedding anniversary, all arranged before the fixture list came out, hoping it wll be on SAFC TV.
at least you will get a chance to see the new lads, drink loadsa class beers, and eat well and cheaply, ENJOY.

We're debating heading up to the Monchengladbach game, if we can get travel sorted, which isn't strightforward by any means!

Looking at flying into Dusseldorf and driving over, seems the logical way from here.

Syd you just don't give a fook about SAFC admit it now and save yourself from further embarrassment.
I'm off to Burnley end of the month (still no prices on SAFC.com) would have went to York but can't get the time off. Should be able to get to the chimp chokers, like you I'm not a big friendly fan but try to get to the ones I fancy.

No, he showed people around and kept the place up to scratch. Anyway, what he gets up to in his own time is none of your business!

I think Burnley is £15 mate. Bit of a rip off. Think I'll be going to Burnley and Hibs.

Would be great if some of us could get together at MGB. We should have not606 t-shirts or caps or something to recognise each other by. We should start that - not606 accessories. The site could make a few bob as well. And all the not606ers could get together at SOL or in pubs around the town.
Anyway, re MGB, we could organise something nearer the date.

Aye mate that was for the Burnley fans on their site still nowt for us would have thought about the same to be honest £20 tops. Got family (outlaws) live about half a mile from the ground so will ring and ask about parking up at their place.

**** friendlies and thats put politely. Those of you that go to them (barring the expats who get a chance to see the lads that usually wouldnt) have either got too much money or too little sense.

I disagree mate: Friendly games give people the chance to visit grounds/places that they wouldn't normally get the chance to.
