    Aye. Only thing that saved me from taking a total bath on it was the exchange rate when I bought it, something like €/£ = 1.45. Love to retire out there though.

    If you love the place, just sit tight on it, end of the day if the option to sell becomes viable, then think about it, but if you can see yourself retiring there, then why bother!

    We were looking into some buy-to-rents over here while the prices are falsely low, until we heard about the laws, or lack thereof, to landlords.

    People can basically steal your house, and you are powerless to throw them out, absolutely backward.
