I'm going to Albufeira, Portugal in a couple of weeks, and I'm 17. The legal purchasing and drinking age used to be 16 but there was some talk of it going up to 18. Can't find anything anywhere on it so was wondering if any of you guys have been there in the last year or are planning on going there and know, cheers.

It's probably the same as Spain. I think technically it's 18, but in all honesty I don't think a lot of places care. Depending on what kind of places you're going to of course. I've never been to Portugal though so can't really comment too accurately.

Went there last year, they definatlly weren't strict about laying down the law anyway....
