I've changed my mind. I'm moving to Northern Ireland and voting DUP.

Yes, vote DUP for a world free of bummers and strong wind.

You can always get good fun on their board, the poppy debate comes up every year and invariably ends up in a anti-Irish onslaught especially when James McClean's name comes up.Smug-gate was good fun<laugh>

They're now moaning about how it is not allowed for people to celebrate St George's day in England anymore. It's funny you know. I have lived here for 45 years and I don't ever remember it being massively celebrated or, more to the point, any laws being passed which said you cannot celebrate it. I'm also most certainly not aware of any big push by Islamic communities to prevent any such festivities.

If I knew what I was talking about I would suggest that it's because most people in England probably don't care a jot and those who do are busy planning little celebrations within their own villages / towns. But no - it's all the fault of the lefties and the immigrants...

They are a ****ing mad bunch, only last month they were giving out about English people going on the piss on St. Patrick's Day.They must be the easiest board on here to wind up<laugh>

How do you celebrate St George's Day any way?

I know on St Andrews day we hunt haggi, drink whisky and beat our wives and girlfriends but as far as I'm aware there are no dragons left and being over polite and wearing a bowler hat which drinking G&T isn't exactly 'celebrating'.

<laugh> I think the general idea is to drink warm beer, eat badly heated up snacks and sit around in deckchairs with blankets watching a rerun of the 1966 world cup final on a big screen and then have a knees up around the piano.

We don't need a poxy flag-waving celebration, we've already won life's lottery by being born English.
