MITO's Depay prediciton

what I would do:

Bid 25mil today. Offer 140k wages. Give the lad 2 weeks to decide. if he's stalling or psg are stalling move on.

What LFC will do.

wait til june then Offer 12 mil to PSG, spend 2 months negotiating. Utd will step in with 18mil bid. Player joins utd and LFC go try to buy jay rod from southampton who's not kicked a ball or perhaps go to swansea looking for a player.

This thread is going to be a snore fest this summer. We'll be linked with ****, who we worryingly might sign or linked with unrealistic targets (lacazette) who would never look twice at us now. Rodgers, you had £120million and all we wanted was 4th. Not the title, not a trophy, just 4th ****ing place so we could actually keep our players and sign some good ones.

balotelli, lallana and lovern are ace investments at 61mil... Their hair alone was worth 10mil each :bandit:

If we we offer any money to PSG for him were as idiotic as you!

I think the club should probably speak to PSV rather than PSG though... I don't think the french club would have much say in whether he's transfered to us <whistle>

He's had a poor season at Dortmund - but he is better than what we have. Wouldn't mind him for the right price.

no real opinion. I'm not sure he is or is not any better than what we have for first team.

I'd like a buy for first team not a cheapie squad filler yet again

Inmentioned him when RHC said about an italian striker...

offers red more than our current forwards although has only really had 1 good goal scoring season...

Surely you would have wanted 3rd to be guaranteed CL footy and not have to play a qualifier, makes it easier to sign players

we are the new arsenal though.... utd chelsea and city are top top clubs who get their pick of players and we are a poor man's arsenal dreaming of 4th <whistle>
 
I see these links with the likes of Depay, Immobile etc. and they are encouraging, but at the same time I think at this point I think what we need is leadership and experience. Rather than more players who will need time to learn and make mistakes.

It won't happen because we concentrate too much on age & resale value but I'd love to see us go for a bit of experience mixed in with younger players this window.Players who have experience, play in a position that we struggle in and would probably be available to us. Players that would form part of our teams spine, which is pretty much the most important part of a team. How much more confident would you feel if we had an experienced head at centre back and in midfield rather than the combinations we have currently?

Age has no bearing on performance. Look at this season - it's the youngsters who have performed. The older lads have let us down.

What we simply need is quality - at any age.

You've already got him......and his brother....<whistle>

Joking aside, he fits your recruitment policy perfectly, a one season wonder, who's done nothing at a big club.
