No. This is far, far more important than potential relegation. Are you an Everton fan? If your owner was trying to change your name to Everton Toffees would you just collectively say "Ah lads, lets wait until the end of May before we question this"? Would you bollocks. What's so bad about relegation anyway? The vast, vast majority of my favourite football memories have occurred outside the top flight, indeed there is only the 2-1 win at Arsenal that would make the top 10.

You've answered my question. Small time thinking in my view, but your choice

As for the question you asked, wrong. We had some protests about Kenwright a few years back and there was a couple of marches on matchdays. That co-incided with a patch of crap form and there was an immediate backlash from the silent majority who turned on those looking to crank up the disruption. They're still in the background trying to stir the pot, but to no real avail.

Ah right, I don't remember Kenwright trying to change your club's name. The media must've glossed over that.

And we're a small club. In 111 years we've had 4 of them in the top flight and we've had some ****ing brilliant times in those other 107. Personally I don't swallow the Sky hyperbole and I realise there are other leagues outside the Premier. Funny concept I know. Personally I would rather support Hull City in the Conference than Hull Tigers in the Premier League. If you find that strange then that's your call, but I thought you "might know your history".....

You're completely missing the point, I'm sure he was asked a question and all he needed to say was I'm happy with his contribution, he didn't need to say that they wouldn't be where they are without him and I want to sign the ****er on a permanent. <doh>

Do you support KEIOC? Or do you just concentrate on the football?

We used to play at Anfield mate, things change.

If you as an individual are happier watching your side in the lower leagues then that's your choice, but it's not the best thing to want for your club is it?

I've never supported KEIOC and never will.

They were a set of committed Evertonians, but I always found their mindset odd and their tactics somewhat underhand.

He didn't say that, he said he'd rather we go down than lose Hull City AFC altogether.

He said exactly that in his previous post.

Our history is colourful to say the least. Everton must be one of the blandest club's to follow.

It's a Liverpool housing estate that's just bobbled about the league pointlessly, mainly just making up the numbers.

Founder members of the football league

4th most successful club in English football history

61 years unbroken run in the top flight.

We've spent more seasons in the top flight than any other club

9 league titles, 5 FA Cups.

Yeah lad dead 'bland' that like, I was hankering for the 3rd division when we were lifting the Cup Winners Cup in Rotterdam, after having clinched the league and about to head for Wembley on the Saturday for the Cup final.

But that's not what you accused him of saying. You suggested he wanted us to go down, which is very different from saying it isn't that bad. Especially as he made that point to compare it against the possibility of the club becoming Hull Tigers.

It's not the winning it's taking part that counts.

Is that it? Is that really what you think's interesting?

Many years of bobbling about mid table in a Liverpool housing estate. <laugh>

I never 'accused' him of saying anything. HE DID SAY that he had no issue with relegation and in fact he enjoyed the game in the lower leagues more. His choice, no problem.

His club is Hull City AFC, not "Hull Tigers"

So will your club cease to be as far as you are concerned should Allam get his way this time round?

For me, yes it would. If the name is changed I'm done with it. And I'm sure I'm far from being alone in that stance. That is why this is far more important to a lot of people than what league we are in.
