Airco for All 17:00 today Councillor Stephen Brady will be on BBC Radio Humberside speaking in response to the 3G pitch being layed
Thats because this **** council dont know how to make a decision. Do nothing is their mantra. Why couldnt they do it? They've been offered a way out but have done **** all. Is there some minutes where this is discussed? I doubt it. I hope Johnson is going to publish what went on as he's so desperate for publicity and likes writing open letters. Everyone could have won here but thanks to ****wit and brady this happens.
Why does he feel betrayed? He was trying to save his own skin politically by writing an open letter. Lets see the **** publish what went on. He'll now realise ****wit and Brady cant make a positive decision to save their lives. Will this make those ****wits realise the Allams are the only game in town for the KC and bend over and give them it and get it moving, I doubt it.
Even if the council have ****ed up, which based on available evidence is no more likely than another Allam tantrum being the cause, whose fault do you think it is that the club felt they couldn't possibly get the bubble pitch (not completed but with planning permission) past the PL yet a few days before laying the pitch it suddenly became possible? Do you think the council and AJ pulled off a masterstroke or is Ehab just totally incompetent?
I think you are wrong. Alan Johnson would have know the timetable for Hull City Council granting planning permission, from the application to the decision being made by the planning committee. I would have thought he told both the Premier League and the Allams of the timetable. He's already told somebody from the Committee that the Premier League didn't set a specific date for planning to be approved. Just that it was done fairly quickly. It may be that Alan Johnson has screwed up, but I doubt it, not over something that could affect his re-election.
I have no ****ing idea what you're saying there. This council delay delay delay and do nowt. Theres no time. Get the ****er done.
Allam has twisted this very well (from his point of view) and you seem to have fallen for it. He is doing something which very few approve of He says oh well if the council do this then I can avoid doing it Council can't meet the deadline Allam carries on People blame the council
Will be interesting times ahead especially if the conservative's get back in, one of there pledge's at the launch of there manifesto today is to make councils sell off, there most expensive building would expect the k.c. to come under that remit.
Unless Hull City have a tenancy agreement in place for 12 months the Category 2 application will be rejected. If Cllr Brady insists that the SMC cannot give a valid tenancy under the terms of the lease then there will be no Category 2 status. For me that is why the Premier League gave us more time to get the planning and bubble pitch in place. The laying of the 3g pitch means all bets are off.
Even if they had, they couldn't have got planning consent in time for today, even a fast-tracked/fully pre-approved application takes 21 days. I did wonder if this would qualify as a temporary structure and not require planning consent, but it's massive and semi-permanent, so no doubt it does. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the pitch was always going to be installed today and Allam just told them he'd wait until today to give them a chance to get things sorted, knowing full well they couldn't and he could then blame to Council for the evictions. Brady's about to go on RH and blame Allam, Allam will then have some mental rant about the council being ****ers and this whole thing will carry on ad infinitum.
You only have to look back at this thread to see even fans of the club that will benefit don't like the way he is going about this, evicting amateur clubs with little notice. We all know the council have a poor record for getting things done but I think Allam is playing on that to get people annoyed at the council instead of him.
The Allam's demanded that the Council covered half the cost of building the bubble pitch, along with an eighteen month rates holiday on the entire site(Airco, KC etc), along with a guarantee of planning permission, which was impossible to provide as the council don't control planning department decisions. The Allam's were basically just taking the piss.
There you go. They wanted planning permission to be granted in four days. A ludicrous attempt to set the council up to fail. Predictably, one or two clowns on here have fallen for it.
