Me whinging
I always thought whinging was moaning about something you thought was unfair, where have I done that?It's always referred to as 'Rafa's rant' despite the fact he was so calm whilst delivering it - every fackt completely true btw - but we all laugh about it now as we did then as we did with the 'priest on the mountain of sugar'. As for Rafa 'falling for it' - no he was putting the record straight and for a man who struggled, and still does, with the English language [which is why he had it written down] he was spot on
Pantomime is the mind games managers play with each other which is why I said I will give you that, Fergie did it with Wenger and Rafa but the 'rant' was him pointing out all the whinges and moans AF had with various referees etc. nothing to do with anything he'd aimed directly at Liverpool, which would have made your 'falling for it' comment valid.

Rafas rant made him a laughing stock in world football. Had there been any truth, others bar Liverpool fans would have defended him.

Why is that relevant? A person's talents are what they are, regardless of their haul of trophies or acclamation. In a team game, trophy winning is down to many more and varied factors than the individual talent of any one player.

Cant say I remember word for word but he complained about Fergies influence on the FA as well as waffling on about some bans Fergie had got.
He basically suggested a conspiracy and preferential treatment of Fergie and United.
He had a breakdown. Nothing more too it. Many people go through them but most try to keep it private.

Van Beavis's rant when fat sam pointed out united's long ball tactics was every worse than Rafa's, the Dutch feller even got charts, statistical data, graphs and diagrams out for the gathered guffawing press corps, so funny and Sam got it spot on.
It was cringeworthy but there were no claims of bias, unfairness or corruption.
Pointing out Fat Sam and thr English media are morons is in no way a rant, breakdowm or meltdown.

... or are you doing your usual make it up as you go along If it was a certified breakdown it did him a power of good - we only lost one game after it and went on an 11 game unbeaten run giving you lot a 4-1 hiding at OT on the way .... defeating Real Madrid at the Bernabeu then thumping them 4-0 at our place. ....a certified breakdown

Whether you view Rafa's rant (as it has been known since the minute he did it btw) as an embarrassing meltdown in which he tried to be clever, but made himself look a right **** OR as a piece of fantastic leadership - probably is down to whether you're a kopite or not.

Rafa fell for it and looked a fool. He claimed fergie was wrong by using examples of how Liverpool have all these problems and more
So what scientific method are you going to use to prove that what he said about Ferguson had a bearing on the results that followed?
The players were responsible for the results, couldn't hack it until the end of that season and what Rafa said is just what Rafa said no more no less.

Rafa brough massive pressure to the whole club. He put you right in the spotlight and made a mockery of the club.
Had he kept it shut, who knows? Instead he broke under the pressure at the top. Not the first or last.
