Can AFC be recruited? I've seen many films where the top dog is actually just as corrupt as the bad guys!
The rules mention it costing different amounts for hitman kills ("The hitman can go after the cop but the price is huge") but it doesn't say recruiting is any more expensive for different roles ("Recruiting a new Mafiosi will cost 50k")
We know that the vigilante loses his power if his identity is revealed ("if the vigilante admits he is a vigilante however he loses all his cash and bullets"). It is possible other roles also lose powers if publicly identified. We know the journalist is like a witness but cannot be seen by those he witnesses, but it would make sense for him to lose this ability if everyone knows who he is.
That makes a big time recruitment a distinct possibility tonight then. Basically we need to lynch an eyetie tonight or we could well be doomed. So very unlikely that the Russkies could have afforded last nights hit. Not sure it makes much difference at the moment but can assume the Italians hit Bod and although costly they more than likely get bonus for killing a mason so are probably swimming in cash right nowThat makes a big time recruitment a distinct possibility tonight then. Basically we need to lynch an eyetie tonight or we could well be doomed.
Surely, (stop calling me Shirley) the Mafia can each hack and, therefore, hack on two occasions. Also what if journo has been recruited by Mafia as Billy says then we may be waiting forever for the truth. And the longer we delay the more we can be picked off. Also we seem to be developing plan of leaving decisions until tomorrow.
Not sure i agree with that. I think for the italian mafia they'd just hit anyone who aren't in there 3. Its a bonus for them to kill anyone. Not sure they targetted bodanki cause he was a mason more likely they just got lucky so i'm not sure if they would have got any bonuses for killing bod
I'd have thought so, but then the rules imply the paper can only be hacked once.
MITO, can you please confirm if each Mafia can hack the paper, or if the first hack prevents the other Mafia from hacking?
I'm not saying we leave all decisions till tomorrow, but don't make the wrong decision just for the sake of making a decision now. Remember that if you just focus on lynching me:
1. You lynch an innocent and Mafia escape suspicion again
2. Mafia can assassinate
3. Italian Mafia can recruit
So we potentially lose three townies and Italian Mafia gain another member, which would be virtually game over.
hi... its not rocket science from me to say that i can see people are wondering about todays paper therefore please don't take anything i say answering a direct question as saying anything about todays paper content.
If someone hacks the paper they hack the paper and can do anything they want. the rules state that once a hack takes place the journalist changes his passowrd and it becomes impoosible to hack again. thats all i can say.
I vote RHCThanks MITO. Therefore the paper can only be hacked once, and tomorrow we will definitely know today's paper was hacked.
Based on the hacked paper referring to me as a ManctwatI vote RHC

In that case, I change back from Magic to Swarbs![]()
Also look at the paper... When talking about swarbs is mentioned Guncci shoes.... And it mentions it again on the classifieds at the bottom.
Now thats one hell of a coincidence... If the hit slots and a random townie both wrote that? Only explanation to me is the Mafia wrote the last classified and also hacked the paper because the journo wouldn't wrote a classified and the chances f two different people both saying sinilar things is very small.....
Why wouldn't the classified say Swarbs shoes if the mafia were trying to give the impression in the classified and the paper? Surely that indicates the classified is correct and the paper hacked...ie journo placed a classified as insurance. Can the journo not place an ad in the classifieds?
Can you confirm or deny the journo knows the contents of adverts before the paper is published and whether or not he can place an advert himself?
