Wow thats a lot of information in the paper. Judging by that we should be lyncing Swarbs tonight then? I vote Swarbs unless someone gives me good reason not to follow the newspaper

I assume that means I'm the serial killer since that's the only action that he or the vigilante as done? If I were the serial killer, someone else would have died last night, I was probably the most active poster yesterday

well one it claims bod was grandmaster mason.... However the info from mito just said bod was a mason... Assuming if he was grandmaster mito would have said when he was killed...

Swarbs could well be Mafia goon but how would journalist know both swarbs is good and gerrez is killer all in the same night?

That is true... there is too much information in the article all in one night. When the Mafia hacks the paper are they able to change all of the content or do they just add to the content?

Open to suggestions by my initial reaction is that paper might not be able to be trusted 100%

id still be happy with yesterday's plan of putting the less active RHC (especially as he's suddenly taken an interest since his name was mentioned) magic and gooner up and see what happens....

That paper is complete bullshit.

My thoughts are quite simple.

1. I'm innocent
2. The paper says Bod was the Masons Grandmaster when he was only a member
3. The serial killer didn't kill last night, and the major crimes unit was only formed on the first night. So there is absolutely no chance the police could have identified Greez as the serial killer

Looks to me like one of the Mafia's has hacked the paper and made some elementary errors in an effort to get us to lynch one of me or Greez tonight.

There's two simple ways to provide this:

1. The serial killer issue should easily be confirmed by afc, as he has access to the police investigator so can confirm whether or not the police actually identified Gerrez as the serial killer
2. The journo will change his password tonight, and the paper tomorrow will say it was hacked and give us the right information.

So I say we do what we did in the last game and wait and see - if afc confirms the police identifed Greez, and the paper tomorrow doesn't report a hack, lynch me then, I'm not going anywhere!

In the meantime, I think we should follow the strategy of afc identifying two or three people to put up for lynching. He now has an even more important role - he knows who he arrested last night, who he will arrest tonight, and who was actually investigated by the police last night so he can best direct our efforts.

Stick with the plan, and don't let an obvious Mafia hack distract us from finding the real bad guys

 

A likely story I'm with Bisc on the newspaper, something just doesn't seem right with the two finds in one night (I'm presuming any town witness could only contact through classifieds rather than funnel info through the journo).

MITO can the journo be both journo and witness all in the same night? As in he gets to witness two things.

Is it possible the journo makes cash through the paper ad's and could make two investigations in one night? Special power kind of thing. That would explain it although finding two people out in one night would still seem a bit of a stretch of the imagination.

 

For now at least I will vote Magic on the basis he is still yet to make a single post

 

Grandmaster or just Mason does it make any real difference? MITO does Mason just step into shoes of Grandmaster if the Grandmaster is killed? If so, why bother changing that bit?

Gerrez part could be hacking as why would Police announce warrant being issued for a killer?

The paper says that the police have investigated Gerrez. That would be consistent with them setting up the major crimes unit on day one, and using the paper to spread the info in order to avoid having to reveal themselves. But like I say that can just be confirmed by afc, so let's wait and see what he says.
