Certainly not one to support a Mouser 'rant', but actually would disagree with you on that PNP. Jones was clearly intending to wipe out the 'Pool player with no intention of going for the ball. In my eyes that constitutes serious foul play and could/should have merIted a red.
'Serious foul play is a foul committed using excessive force (i.e., "the player...is in danger of injuring his opponent")
But it's all opinions, after all
