A red from two bookings used to mean a two-match ban, but it was changed to one a few years back (maybe a couple of years, maybe more).

But Thudd gets two matches as it's his second red.

6 games he'll have missed without really making a tackle.

Had to laugh at NP's interview, but how the **** does he get away with it? I know one thing, I wouldn't want to be one of his players in the dressing room after a bad game. I know he seems to get the best out of players & has a good eye for upcoming talent but surely he must realize what he comes across like as a really obnoxious twat. I don't know why he doesn't get his assistant to do the interviews as he obviously hates them, maybe only do them when he's in a good mood after they win.

The second one in particular is weak as piss. Bruce is right this time, why does every foul have to be a yellow card? He's not even stuck a leg in, it's one of them free kicks just for being behind him.

Losing Diame would have been a bigger part in us getting relegated.

Not sure what that has to with the Huddlestone situation...

Diame got crocked, not his fault. Huddlestone's going to miss six games because he can't keep a cool head.

Bruce should have taken him off after 48/49 minutes when he made a foul but they got the advantage. His next foul was always going to see a second yellow.

The booking was light but Hudds shouldn't have put himself in that situation, it's a shame he hasn't got a clever brain to match his talent, I agree with what you said about him missing 5 games ruining his season and potentially ours

I'm sorry, but missing six games of the season is unacceptable. He's a key player and one of our best paid player, who's going to miss a huge chunk of this season down to his own rashness/stupidity. Bitterly disappointing as he was starting to look himself again, but personally I think he should be fined by the club. He won't be as they won't want to upset him, but his lack of discipline could get us relegated.

Nah. Bruce pointed out the yellows were a bit soft all round, so he is hardly likely to throw the book at him when in truth he maybe should have taken him off early.
If he had done two of the first yellow, I may agree...

I'm sorry but every player knows that when you're on a yellow, you're walking a tightrope. He could have walked on 48/49 minutes and he should have known that his next foul, especially in a dangerous area, would see a second yellow. I would have been flabbergasted if he'd got off with that second yellow.

Six games, eighteen potential points and one of our biggest players can't feature as he can't control himself. Had we lost yesterday I suspect some wouldn't be so forgiving and how we will do with compared to without him in these/those six games could easily be the difference between staying up and going down.

Agreed.

It's hardly like he lost it though is it? It wasn't even really a challenge, more like Vardy came back across him just as he was about to try to get a foot in.
Admittedly, Dawson was covering but if that's a yellow card, along with Bruce and Dawson's, then there isn't much hope for the game as a competitive sport!
I think the booking and some of these comments are a bit harsh.
I wonder what people would be saying if Huddlestone hadn't chased Vardy all the way back and let him through to stick it in the back of the net?

What are these mongs on about that 'Huddlestone shouldn't hve put himself in that situation'?

What should he have done then? Just let that obnoxious little **** run free at the goal? The cheating little prick just jumped into him and threw himself to the floor, there was nothing he could do about it.

Irrelevant really, he's going to miss six games for us and none of those suspensions are a result of poor refereeing decisions, only of his own making. Bruce and Dawson's were completely different, not comparable at all. Both made terrific tackles, won the ball and were punished unfairly. Huddlestone made three fouls, did not win the ball on either occasion and was rightly given a second yellow.

Who's saying he should have done that? That should be pretty basic, that a holding midfielder tracks back. Sorry, but I'm not going to sing his praises for actually putting a bit of graft in before getting himself sent off.

Sorry, I might have missed something.

Why does he miss six games?
