Well, you seem to be lucky then. Were the emails you sent easy to reply to. I think I struck a cord because I finished up telling them that if there is a serious incident with the away supporters and e4 I will remind any commission that it was brought to their attention and they didn't take any notice. I think it is that serious to be honest. Are they just waiting in the hope that nothing happens.

I know I'm back on my hobby horse again, but the situation in E4 was mentioned before the tickets went out, and seemed to be a shock, such was the drive to push it all through without getting good advice.

It's just one in a long list of issues that could/ should have been addressed with a coordinated approach rather than people dismissing it or shouting it down.

I only hope lessons have been learned, but I'm not optimistic.

Can you ask if something can be done or looked into regarding those idle little ****ers pretending to be ball boys?

Ideally a kick up the arse.

They need reminding every game is televised somewhere and they are representing the club. Badly.

    Little bastards.

Can you please bring up the fact that Allam's whole argument to be called "Hull Tigers" is invalid, as Worksop Town are known as "The Tigers" also, which makes the "Hull Tigers" name "Common", along with the name "City".

There was only a line of stewards at Chelsea last night with no empty seats, didn't seem to cause anyone any concern. Reading have just an aisleway and some railings and lose about 60 seats in one row. Swansea lose 19 seats to segregation.again, no problems. Arsenal have a fence and an aisleway with no loss of seats. Why it is such a big deal at City is a mystery.

You are probably correct DMD. I still think it was very much a case of "I will teach you lot a bloody lesson to go against me". But I concede that there was also some idea involved about trying to make an atmosphere. However, as you say, there would have been nothing wrong with a bit of consultation before their mind was made up. Same with the badge and it seems anything else!

This has been brought up and explained countless times in the past, and it apparently pisses the club off as well. These segregations have to comply with regulations made by the local police and safety advisory group (I think it's called) who insist on the gap being so large.

I believe it was such an issue that with the old seating arrangement the club had to ask for permission (not always successfully) to allow home fans into the North stand, which will possibly be another reason the away fans were moved to stop the police insisting that certain enemies be given the entire north stand.

We are talking about E4 here. Instead of having seats covered why not use all the seats in E3 and just put a fence up down the aisleway like Reading or Arsenal?

There has to be no more than a set distance and a specific number of seats per exit from the seating area. Putting a barrier up wouldn't split the exit to the vomitary, so the end seats on one set would be deemed unusable as they're too far from the next exit.

That's been brought up as well and it's mainly something to do with the people / exits ratio if I remember correctly. I'm sure there were a few other issues with it as well.

It was talked about in one of these *** meetings so your answer is in one of the meeting threads if you can be arsed to search for it.

Otherwise OLM probably remembers the details and will be along explain.

It's to do with legal requirements for vacating the stadium within time limits. A fence down the centre of an exit aisle means that aisle can't be used and the seats next to it are then too far from an exit to be safe in the event of an emergency evacuation. I saw a programme recently that showed how Rome's coliseum could be vacated quicker pro rata than the Birds Nest Stadium built for the Beijing olympics so it's not just our problem.

I knew there were a limit on the number of seats. Why not put a fence up at the end of where the maximum number of seats are, leave a row empty for stewards and then the other seats could be used for home fans who would be within the permitted number of seats.
The KC was badly designed with no thought of what happens in the real world and the implications for a successful football team. Probably because they consulted rugby fans 6 times and football supporters once. That was commented on at the time by a regular poster on here. I wrote to the HDM and stated we would have problems getting a capacity crowd and predicting the KC would be one of the most over policed stadiums thre was because of this.

Watched that programme. It was also interesting that the rake of the stands and viewing distances to the centre of the arena are more or less what are aimed at all these years later.
The initial evacuation was slower, at least from the cheap seats, but things altered as they exited the stadium itself and it ended up with people clearing the vicinity of the Coliseum more quickly.

The away fans do not use the exit./entrance for E4. They use the exit at E2/3. My opinion is that there should be a metal fence between e4 and 3.

Despite being the most popular one, i.e. the bastard ball boys, my question hasn't received any acknowledgement.

    Simple oversight?

Could one of you please raise it?

You can't put up a metal fence, if there was an emergency the away fans on the right of E3 and the home fans of the left of E4 have to use the same exit.

    Desperate for likes you are.

I'll raise it. I'm interested from the point of view that it's to the detriment of the team not getting the ball back in quickly when we need a goal.
