Its amazing how many people hate this guy (me included) but look at the viewing figures....worldwide. He must be doing something right
Look at the viewing figures for the X-Factor or Eastenders ........... people just can't get enough of puerile pointles shyte.
It's sold to a lot of countries, but the viewing figures in each country are nowhere near their top shows...

Can't see him being sacked by the ***** Recruiters, he has established a very valuable brand almost single handedly.
Probably part of the reason he acts the fool is because he knows he's immune from the sack.
Not everybody will toe the line and jump to the tune of the PC Bandwagon, the ones who don't usually perish but in this case I think he's got the power; they need him far more than he needs them.

I just wouldn't choose to pay for 'patter' I can hear in any middle class village pub ........ I can't think of anything funny he's ever said.
He just comes across as 'school bully' and lots of timid little 3rd formers seem to want to be in his gang.

In truth he wouldn't piss on the people who worship him.

I'd agree mate, but the fact is Top Gear is Clarkson, to kill him they'd have to effectively send a cash cow to slaughter.
He could take that show and 8 million viewers to any other channel.
IMO, he just gives people 'permission' to feel comfortable about racism and openly mock anyone they see as inferior.
I don't think that's what the BBC should be about.

Agree totally - but they're all doing stuff we'd all LOVE to do (well I would anyhow as a wannabe petrol head!)
Viewing figures have been down recently (apparently) so the likelihood is it's a publicity stunt to get them back - when it comes back (which I think it will) they'll rocket again
I loved watching it when I was younger - but now it's late middle aged rich ****ers in fast cars - no thanks!!
Can't drive anymore due to epilepsy & I don't miss it at all.
My license in in some big office block in South Wales & it can stay there.
