The problem is what is and isn't guilt is an utter minefield because our legal system is so backwards. Look at Ched Evans, to all the world it looked like he was innocent, stupid but innocent. Then you look at William Roache... It looked like he was probably guilty but it never went through. Look at that Joanna Yate's landlord... A bloke who was clearly a murder if you believed the press coverage... He didn't do it.
The legal system and it's media relations needs shaking up, big style.
The damage is done to his reputation now sadly and most likely to hers as well, they should have kept this quiet until a later date, further along in the backwards, outdated process.
Time after time we see this. The defendant suffers whether innocent or guilty and the "victim" suffers whether she was wronged or not. Maybe time for a change and give both the protection they need until it's wrapped up.
