How can they even hope to perform to their physical peak doing that.

cops found a loaded gun at his home too -apparently it is legally owned by Johnson, though that for me makes the awful news-story even worse

You're a young lad Bri and I sympathise.

I love going to the game, meeting up with the lads and having a shout and a sing.

My expectations of the players are quite low, as long as I enjoy my day out I care less and less tbh.

    They don't!

I saw a Rooney Vs Ronaldo physical condition comparison once and it's as if Rooney puts about 5% of the effort Ronaldo puts in.

That's often the difference between good and brilliant on the pitch if you ask me!

If he's innocent it's a disgrace his name being released.

If he's guilty hand him over to ISIS so they can burn him alive in one of their cages.

We don't know yet know if he's innocent or guilty, never mind the full facts if he is guilty.

How many of us, clubbing for years since we were 16 or 17, would know if that lass you were talking to was 15 or 19?

How many of us sailed close to the window and had no idea?

The problem is what is and isn't guilt is an utter minefield because our legal system is so backwards. Look at Ched Evans, to all the world it looked like he was innocent, stupid but innocent. Then you look at William Roache... It looked like he was probably guilty but it never went through. Look at that Joanna Yate's landlord... A bloke who was clearly a murder if you believed the press coverage... He didn't do it.

The legal system and it's media relations needs shaking up, big style.

The damage is done to his reputation now sadly and most likely to hers as well, they should have kept this quiet until a later date, further along in the backwards, outdated process.

Time after time we see this. The defendant suffers whether innocent or guilty and the "victim" suffers whether she was wronged or not. Maybe time for a change and give both the protection they need until it's wrapped up.

    Interesting.
There was a story on Sky news today where a man had been wrongly arrested for a sex crime.
They released his name & picture to the media, he lost his job because of it.
He's just been awarded 60 odd grand damages.

Im not trying to be rude or start anything but is something up with your locker-room or with management behind the scenes the last couple seasons? It just seems from an outsider like something is really wrong.

Everyone knows our owner is nuts but what is causing the trouble with you all?

Aye, we will! One of their better players will be out of the derby!!!!

Nah seriously, I always get suspicious when someone comes out and cries rape. Innocent or guilty, until we know, I am not comfortable admonishing him or otherwise!

Sunderland is a well run club that is rarely in the news for bad reasons.

I'm very happy with the owner and the way the club deals with this kind of thing.

Why would you believe something is really wrong?

Many ex footballers use to smoke one being sir bobby Charlton in the old days and a few smoke in today's game. Rooney likes the odd puff and he is not alone either..

The strangest part seems to be the search of his home which could be seen that the girl had been there. The complaint must have been made previously giving the police time to make an initial investigation and take statements and at least gather enough information to send them to his house.

Loaded gun could have been an air pistol, but why let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Under-performance the last couple seasons, signings such as Altidore etc. I am pretty shocked you are where you are right now, it just seems to me that something is wrong is all.
