Maybe we should not bither with utd here and focus on coutinho

Name the players he is on a par with over past few months

Hazard, silva.... He's really done well so extension to contract is most welcome

Van Gaal would probably play him at CB he's that clueless about PL football.

He's been on par or even better than anyone in the league that plays his role. People just don't **** over him because he didn't come from a huge club and didn't cost a fortune. I think recently opposition fans must be thinking twice as he's clearly better than Ozil and Di Maria (2 massively expensive signings). He's more on par with the likes of Hazard and Sanchez imo.

After a bright pre season he started the season poorly but the change in formation has really suited him. Showed on Thursday how we miss him when he's not playing.
But as skilfull as he is its the other parts of his game that impress . He's obviously added ( stunning) goals to his game but his work rate and tenacity is fantastic and often seems to be the trigger for our pressing game.in fact Couthino is everything Ozil isnt..(watching him again and again he's one lazy ( cowardly) batard.)
Easily one of the top three players in the country right now ( if not the best) . On his day unplayable.

Just one other thing, how do you think Aguero would fit into our team. I think he would be a brilliant fit. Great player.

I agree, plus if I remember correctly we had the chance to buy him a few years back on the cheap, but decided against it!

But he's clearly the best striker in the league - just a shame for him he seems quite injury prone.

I think if Man City played him up top on his own and had that extra bit of creativity in a midfield 5, we'd really see his true potential. Pelligrini is a stubborn ****er tho!

Think he would really prosper under us and be as good as suarez was. Won't happen though.
And your right we were linked with him on more than one occasion a few seasons back. Surprised he hasn't been poached by Madrid/ Barca....yet. But as you say his injury record isn't good.

The fact that Coutinho has that in his locker now will help our general play in the long run, as its only natural for a defender to think twice about standing off him when he can score goals like that, which will create space for other players.

Our general lack of powerful strikers of the football has been our downfall for a while. Teams stand off us because of our (sometimes too) intricate play. People argued that a targetman like Lambert would provide a plan B for this, but I argued that Konoplyanka - or a powerful striker of the ball - would help against this.

Inter Milan allowing Coutinho to leave for £8.5m has to be one of the biggest transfer blunders of recent times. Credit to Liverpool though.

That's the bargain to end all bargains isn't it. £8.5 million compared to what Utd have burned on Mata, Di Maria, Herrera, Falcao, Rojo and Blind. Coutinho does more than all of them put together.

    Fantastic player and only 22.
His close ball control is phenomenal and dribbling with the ball.

Gotta call out these delusional ramblings. Heard a few corkers this week from the BBC being biased for united and hating united ( Despite Lawrensen and Hansen last year on the MOTD panel ), money plays no part in football and last but not least Coutinho being anywhere near the top bracket of PL players. Some real comic gold round here.

Mark Lawrenson and Alan Hansen are/were two of the most critical anti-LFC pundits on television you melt

<laugh> I'd be surprised if you genuinely believe this. They may have been critical in the last 4-5 years as you've been ****e but they have always been very very pro Liverpool and I'm not gonna blame them as they are club legends, if Le Tissier was on the panel it would be painfully pro Saints. To suggest that Lawrensen and Hansen are anti pool is nonsense as is suggesting that the BBC is too. Liverpool have a massive following and they like every other sports programme channel play to there audience. These channels are also very pro Man Utd because of there massive following but you don't hear them moaning about faux conspiracies as I'm sure the majority of their fans understand this and they also do not have a " we are always the victims " complex. I see former pro Danny Murphy is now on the MOTD panel too singing the praises of Liverpool whenever he gets the chance as does Shearer for Saints.
