His improvement has been so exciting to watch and doesn't seem to be letting up.

Already imo one of the best players in the league - he's a magician and I can't see many (if any) weaknesses in his game. For me he'd walk into any team in the league - and that is me trying to be as unbiased as possible.

His intelligence for the game you simply cant teach. At his age we have someone VERY special in our ranks.

    Long live the Ford Cortina

Easily our best player, the only thing he lacked was goals.. Boy that's changed over the last month, important to note that this season and last season he steps up with important goals against big teams. It is a surprise though, he couldn't hit a barn door earlier in the season, now everything he strikes is pure and accurate, not just the ones he scores. Luckily we tied him down to a long-term contract because if he carries on with this sort of form he'll be scouted by Europe's top teams. Absolute magic. <magic>

Crazy how he's improved this year.

Started scoring some great goals which was his obvious short coming.

Just part of a really exciting young team.

Can, Sakho, Henderson, Coutinho, Ibe, Markovic, Sturridge, even Allen.

    All under 25 <ok>

He had a dodgy start to the season because he had no one making the runs so his talent wasn't being used, since then he's found top level performances again.

He doesn't need runners anymore seeing as he can just smack it in from 30 yards <whistle> <magic>

It would be interesting to see what opposition fans think.....

    Step up UIR and Tobes!!!

This ones for UIR - I wouldn't swap Coutinho for Di Maria. I'm being 100% serious too.

    <laugh> True.

I said after he'd attempted 2 that the problem is because he's scored a couple like that he tries it all the time now.... then 20 minutes later he went and scored a screamer <doh>

Had to laugh at the Guardian's Top 100 players in the world list recently. Coutinho was not in it but Ozil (54), Dzeko (66), van Persie (45), Klose (70), Gervinho (82), Daley Blind (89), and David Luiz (95) were.

Picked by Didi Hamann, Slaven Bilic, Crespo, and Gilberto Silva and 70 others.

His improvement since mid December is due to

    1. 11 players running on the pitch not 9 with 2 passengers so he is working harder

    2. Confidence

    3. Formation giving him freedom

Couldn't believe it when they paid that for him,it was more about making a statement than buying a player they really needed. He's been average

It was a repeat of Mata in the previous window.

Step 1. Make big money signing as statement of intent (overpay as investment).
Step 2. Attract top class players to improve the squad (recover Step 1 investment).
Step 3. Forget to do Step 2.

He is totally one footed but I think can gaal doesn't know what to do with either him or mata

Very fast player, very good player but lacking confidence now

Utd keep beating the lower teams though...
