Sounds about right, defenders should keep their hands off attackers in the area because not all refs are weak/bent <ok>

Depends if the defender stretched his arms out to "make himself big" intending to stop the ball with them if needed the it`s a pen, simple <ok>

That Rose goal wasn't quite as **** as I heard, hit it straight and a bit too high is better than the more common sin of getting under a ball

Kane is a dirty diving **** though

If it wasn't for Lukaku and Howard, Everton could have won 6-0

Shows the danger of a manager too weak to drop big players who are ****

    Only 1 was a #legit goal though

If you can get that linesman to pair up with Lukaku every week you'd be set

I only half watched the highlights on MOTD so why did Mirallas replace goalscorer Naismith rather than chance waster Lukaku, and why so late in the game so as to be pointless? I assume it was an injury to Naismith otherwise it makes zero sense. But in that case why did Mirallas not start anyway?

Gibson and Atsu for for Besic and Barkley on 55 minutes? WTF was that about? Make your subs at 45 or 60 minutes you twat <ok>

Diffrernce is he's a keeper so having his arms there is a natural position. It's just momentum took him out of the box.

If it had hit his arm directly, one he'd have been inside when it hit him, but if was outside and hit his arm directly then yes a free kick and red card.

Put it it this way, if a defender sliced the ball and it rebounded off his arm would you say penalty? No... Because it's not deliberate.

    Nope.

As soon as he leaves his area his arms aren't in a 'natural position' as he's not entitled to handle the ball ffs. Therefore if the ball hits his arm it's handball.

To say it was just momentum that caused him to leave his area is piffle, as he knew fine well he was exiting the box, he was just commtitted to closing down the forward.

That said it'd have been a harsh red, given it hit his chest first, but some would have given it, he can count himself lucky.

It was never a red in a million years.

Even when we got the pen against that deflected off a knee that everyone screamed shouldn't have been given it wasn't a red.

Best case scenario, the officials make the greatest call in the history of football and Southampton get a free kick #gamechanger

Once he leaves the box he's got to drop his arms, keepers do it every week ffs. The fact that he stays 'big' and the ball then hits his arm makes it handball, as his arm shouldn't have been there. If he's dropped his arms and the ball hits his chest, it then flies past him and the striker could have easily beaten him to the ball.

    He was lucky.

His right arm was still inside the box so at best he should have 1 arm down.

And he didn't need to put his left arm down until he actually left the box, by which time the ball had deflected so it was irrelevant.

The simple fackhts are that his left arm was raised over his head and the ball hit it, outside of the area.

More simple fackhts are he's a goalkeeper and goalkeepers are allowed to use their hands.

But the difference betwen it hitting his chest while inside and arm while outside is milliseconds. It's near on impossible for him to move his arm away in time.

It it his his arm and he's outside but it's not deliberate because he didn't deliberately chest it onto his arm. Deflections aren't deliberate handball so shouldn't be given.

You can argue a case either way which I think is why you couldn't really complain which way the decision was made.

I didn't. I merely said some would have given it, which makes him a lucky boy.

Not as lucky as Allen though, who gave away a stone waller with the useless Friend 20 foot away and somehow got away with it, as he bottled making a call.

****ing garbage that ref, every week he's making ****e calls, needs binning off - along with lard arse Mason and Atkinson.
