Look at Giggsy's face when he's slumped in the dug out week after week. He isn't buying into LVGs philosophy at all and looks like he's biding his time.

So the feather that is Fabregas would have added steel to the midfield. The main reason for Rooney playing there is to toughen it up a little. It was Fellaini earlier in the season but van Gaal decided he was more effective as a number 10. Kroos isnt known for his strength either.
Both are creative midfielders. Both require a well disciplined DM with them.

Moyes for me would have sorted the defensive issues too. LVG seems incapable of changing it atOld Trafford. He has no excuses, he should have bought quality defenders and a DM in January. At least Moyes had a genuine excuse in that Woodward fluffed the summer transfer window.
Blind is fantastic and exactly what we needed. Di maria was one of the best players on earth when we bought him. His form has tailed off but hes still a world class player.
Are they better. Well Blind is for the DM role. Di maria is a better player than both fabregas and kroos so that leaves Herrera. Either one would have been better than him but neither would have solved the defensive problems. Fabregas would have caused significantly more as hes hasnt got a clue defensively.
That's where Blind comes in.
Either or both would have been a better bet than Di Maria or Falcao, neither of whom solve any defensive issues either and are complete luxuries.

Over Falcao yes but Di Maria can do everything the other too can plus carry the ball at pace. Hes also more reliable defensively than them.
Put an inform striker in our team and Di marias numbers double. At least. The number of chances hes created for rvp or falcao to not make any attempt for is insane.
The only thing Di Maria is better than Fabregas and Kroos at is being a winger. Which is what he is.

Incapable of changing it? He moved from a 442 diamond to a 352 formation and as a result the leagues longest unbeaten run happened. The number of goals conceded dropped significantly and the goals scored remained about the same.
What was Moyes excuse when he turned down Kroos last summer? (a fergie target) Or when he didnt buy a single defender nor show any interest in them? Or what about messing up a signing that the club had been working on for a year already? Was that Woodward fault or was it dithering Dave who just couldnt make his mind up?
Woodward showed his abilty the summer just gone. Moyes has shown his entire career that he doesn't have a clue with transfers.
