Thursday 14th July 2011: Ian Ayre has hailed Liverpool's historic first visit to China as an 'amazing success'. The Reds' Managing Director flew out of Guangzhou with the rest of the squad after last night's friendly against Guangdong Sunray Cave - leaving behind thousands of Chinese Kopites who have savoured every second of having the Reds in their country. Friday 15th July 2011: Liverpool today confirmed they have completed the signing of Alexander Doni from AS Roma. The goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a contract with the Reds after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical. - Damien Comolli believes the arrival of Alexander Doni will assist in the development of Liverpool's young goalkeepers. The club's Director of Football told Liverpoolfc.tv: "We are delighted to sign Doni. It's a position we felt we had to strengthen because it will allow our young goalkeepers to go on loan and get some experience at some point during the season, which is crucial in their development.' - Stewart Downing has today completed his transfer from Aston Villa to Liverpool.
