I am back. Its been a bit of a tumble weed in here these last few days.... Oh well.

    Tuesday 12 July 2011:

John Flanagan has spoken of his determination to take his game to the next level after being rewarded with a new deal at Anfield.

"I just have to carry on, get back in the team and just keep producing," the right-back told Liverpoolfc.tv after penning his new long-term contract. "I could probably get involved more - get crosses in, and develop my forward play.

"I thanked Kenny and Damien for such a huge opportunity and I'm delighted."

"It's been a change but I just take it in my stride and just carry on with it," he added. "It feels great signing autographs because it's something I used to do when I was little. I used to get Stevie's and Carragher's."

    Thursday 14th July 2011:

Ian Ayre has hailed Liverpool's historic first visit to China as an 'amazing success'.

The Reds' Managing Director flew out of Guangzhou with the rest of the squad after last night's friendly against Guangdong Sunray Cave - leaving behind thousands of Chinese Kopites who have savoured every second of having the Reds in their country.

"It has been absolutely fantastic," Ayre told Liverpoolfc.tv before boarding the flight to Kuala Lumpur.

"The fans were amazing and it was a real eye-opener for our players - particularly the new and younger guys. It was all about giving the fans a great experience and about growing our brand in this part of the world.'

    Sunday 17th July 2011:

Just little things said by players today atm.

Jamie Carragher today told Liverpool's fans in Singapore that Kenny Dalglish is the man to bring the glory days back to Anfield.

"Kenny has had a major impact since coming in at a time when results weren't going too well for us. Since he and Steve Clarke arrived they have done a great job and hopefully we can carry that into next season.'

    -

Charlie Adam insists he would have no qualms about sacrificing his impressive strike rate in favour of trophies.

"The lads have received me really well and helped me ease into the team And I'm happy this has shown on the pitch so far.

"But I came to Liverpool to win titles and I would trade in anything for that, even if it meant not scoring at all next season.'

(I think assists is going to be Adams main game this season, especially once Gerrards back taking penalties).

    -

Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre has joined Arsenal in questioning Manchester City's £400m sponsorship deal with Etihad Airlines.

Concerns have been raised that the deal has been inflated to help City meet Uefa's financial fair play rules.

"Are Etihad, City and Sheikh Mansour related parties? If they are, it's up to Uefa to rule on them," said Ayre.

(Should Ayre being sticking his nose in?)
