Have to question Tony's negotiating tactics. He puts out a short list of three potential managers (having never had a long list). One, McClaren, is dead in the water from the start (why would he leave an upsurging Derby unless it was for the money, which is not what we want?). The second, Clement, rules himself out and this was surely foreseeable if any informal enquiries from Loftus Road had been made. So that leaves Sherwood who, knowing he is now the only game in town and dealing with wealthy, desperate owners, puts in an astronomical remuneration claim.
I don't like the sound of Sherwood and my instinct says he may bring division between the players. Could live with a short term contract until the end of the season to see how he does. But subject to this, TF needs to look farther afield to get a youthful and talented manager (of whatever nationality) over the summer so that we can start looking to a brighter future.
