EXCLUSIVE: Tim Sherwood's appointment as QPR boss in doubt after row over personal terms
TIM SHERWOOD'S appointment as QPR boss is in doubt due to a row over personal terms.

By David Woods / Published 5th February 2015
Starsport understands the former Tottenham coach wants £6m over the course of a three-year-deal
But Rangers owner Tony Fernandes is 'only' prepared to pay him £1m a year plus bonuses.
Sherwood is also thought to be concerned at the size of the budget he will have to boost the squad in the summer if they do stay up.
Former England manager Steve McClaren and Real Madrid assistant Paul Clement had emerged as rivals to Sherwood.

Kevin Bond and Chris Ramsey will take charge of the team for the visit of Southampton tomorrow, with Rangers seeking a first win in eight games.
Meanwhile, Glenn Hoddle said he quit QPR out of loyalty to Redknapp.
The ex-England boss lasted six months in his part-time coaching role after following Redknapp out of the door this week.
Hoddle said: "As Harry had taken me to Queens Park Rangers, I thought the right thing to do was to leave.
"It was an act of loyalty to Harry."

If the policy is to no longer go over board on transfer fees/wages then that should be the same for the manager, don't mind if it's performance based but if he really wants £2m a year then :emoticon-0173-middl

This, being in the Daily Star, is probably bollocks, but if it's true TS is having a laugh. For a start TF should only contract him until the end of the season and then re-assess.

One concern about him is his arrogance, especially when talking about his previous clubs owners, this will lend fuel to that fire. Has he done enough to get paid at this rate? No.

Not a good omen. Be Careful TF.

Offer the job elsewhere rather than store up future troubles.

Mmm...............probably not true.
However, you can't blame anyone for negotiating from a high starting point can you?

Also, now that the other two candidates have ruled themselves out he knows he is the only one in the frame.
The Hoddle departure is a little baffling to me. I reckon there was more to it than just him leaving out of respect for Harry. Perhaps he didn't want to stay under Les?

I'd offer him 50p for the rest of the season, with a £2m bonus if he keeps us up. I'd also throw in the use of the swivel chair in future negotiations, plus my wife's recipe for ratatouille.
Is Mrs Uber's ratatouille recipe a good 'un then?

I agree re. a contract heavily weighted in terms of bonuses. It might also be worth spreading those across the performance of all the teams from youth level up if that really is the way we want to go.

I hope TF doesn't think it's our only option and get held over a barrel.

Perhaps, if terms can't be agreed, we should make it Les and Ramsey (don't want Bond) till the end of the season and then get the right man in (Clement has said that he'd like to manage us one day, so he may be more willing to come at the end of the season).

Horrible to think we may just get Sherwood as there's no one else out there

Ramsey could do himself an awful lot of good with a win on Saturday.
Would put TF in a strong position to say..."might hold on here"......
with Clements considering a "team he supported as a lad, and whom I would love to manage one day".

A win on Saturday would create a whole new dynamic in the mix..
(one can hope....<whistle> in the dark)

The star yeah right, so they got a bloke inside the club that tells them this or Sherwood rings the star to tell them to print what is going on with his interview, pure fantasy & no one knows anything yet.
