Manchester City are there for the taking. They are arrogant at home, as they showed against Middlesbrough, and have key players out of form. The likes of Aguero hasn't done much since he has returned from injury, Kompany has been **** all season. And with Toure and Bony still at AFCON and Martín Demichelis in their back 4, we have a chance.
Since he has come back from injury he has played 4 games, Everton, Arsenal, MIddlesbrough and Chelsea. He has not scored in any of them games. Which he usually does right? Therefore he is out of form, hence why I said:
Clearly you aren't aware of the phrase "form is temporary, class is permanent". Or aware of the fact that the three PL teams you mentioned are much better than us (even though we beat Everton, they're still better) and our once reliable defence is littered with mistakes and bullshit?
Writing off the second top scorer in the league, just because he hasn't scored in four games(one of which he only played twenty minutes in), is a bit daft.
What you are saying is correct Sterling, however if you see my original post I said that they are arrogant when they play at home against weak opposition and they have players out of form. I never said Aguero is **** and won't score against us, I only stated that he has done nothing since his return from injury. That might be because of the opposition, however he usually pops up in the big games and scores the goals for them, he scored a hat-trick against Bayern Munich ffs, yet he can't score past Middlesbrough, Everton and Arsenal who have had a leaky defence this season? Which suggests he isn't the same player as before the injury, we may find he is back on form on Saturday, but at the moment he is out of form, as his usual form is amazing.
This happens so often on this forum it's unbelieveable. It's not what you said, it's what you were implying that's ridiculous. It's called intonnation and to hide it behind a truthful statement is a dick move. I know what you said, but the context in which you said it suggested that Aguero isn't somebody we should worry about because he's out of form. A ridiculous implication, he's one of the best strikers in the Premier League and we're currently one of the ****test teams in the league, how can you not feel a bit concerned he'll be lining up against us on Saturday?
I never said or implied that Aguero being out of form means we will win or that we should not worry about him. I suggested that due to a number of reasons, Aguero being out of form being one of them, we could have a chance of beating them. I am concerned about him lining up against us, however I'd rather face a half-fit/out of form Aguero than a fully fit one. Which leads once again to my original point, him not being 100% gives us more of an advantage than him being at 100%, therefore we are more likely to beat Man City than if he was at 100% as he was prior to his injury. Has that cleared it up for you? Or are you going to continue to pick at EVERYTHING I ****ing say whilst you sit upon your high horse?
It's perfectly logical to suggest it would be better facing Aguero now than before he was injured. I really don't get your issue with this? And to waffle on about inntonation and the like? How condescending is that?
It's not an advantage though, is it? Because an Aguero at 10% is still a threat to our wobbly defence. I'd rather not face him at all, if he's in the team and out of form he's still a massive threat, it's the same reason Bruce keeps picking Huddlestone. He's capable of top class performances and he's in there because of that, if you leave him out there's 0% chance of that happening. As long as Aguero is on the field, we're in a lot of danger, it doesn't matter how fit he is. He could list lazily along our back line with his hands in his pockets and still give Davies the run around. And of course, for us to beat Man City we'd have to score a goal, which granted is a different point entirely, but your original point still doesn't really stand because of just how good Aguero is. Your discrediting him if you think he doesn't have the ability to trouble us if he's even half fit, never mind the abundance of talent they'll have lining up behind him.
This is getting boring now. I have not said or hinted that Aguero will not worry us at all when he is half fit. I'm saying that due to him not being fully fit, we have a better chance than if he is fully fit. I'm not ruling him out, he certainly is the best striker in the league, but he is less likely to score against us not being fully fit than being fully fit, do you understand my point yet?
