True, but we also had Hamilton's "water system" problem yesterday. I'm not suggesting it's big drama and of course they'll probably tell you that finding faults "is what testing is for". Still, I am sure they would rather be bullet proof.

McLaren reverting back to form, they're definitely done for the day

Interestingly, Mclaren have now managed more laps (40) than Marussia managed in the whole of the first test (27) last year... but they're still 80 laps away from the next worst team in terms of mileage at the first test, which was Lotus with 111 (closely followed by Red Bull with 116). And we know what happened to them.
McLaren have also yet to put in any kind of lap at racing speed.
How good the car and engine is when on full song is not yet known. Lots of positive noises coming out of McLaren, but nothing to show for it yet, or anything that resembles anything positive on the track.
It was interesting that they were only 4kph down on the Merc in a straight line.
