Mods banned him I think, his keyboard warrior antics just got boring. Never known a grown man/ woman to call us spuds 10 times in every sentence and still think it was funny after the 500th time.
He was always banned, but the change of software lost the bans, so he had a small window until it was rectified.
He's only got himself to blame. What amazes me is how he was ever elected to be a moderator. How can you be deemed fit to moderate the behaviour of others, when you can't even moderate your own? As I put on another thread, unless he has something sensible to say (rare!) I just try to ignore him.

Yes. He felt completely undermined when Les Ferdinand was trying to so deals in the window. A man of his knowledge and experience, should never ever be reporting to a two faced guy like Ferdinand.

He put off his knee surgery last summer and is severely restricted in movement. No longer plays golf because of it. But the real reason is a complete lack of trust in Ferdinand, who he recently tried to "out" as the QPR club mole.
